Perm Bans For Scammers

So i have noticed a bit more scamming reports on the forums as i go through and look at random threads. So i think if you really wan't to discourage scamming put it in a rule in /rules and make a chat alarm just like the one that says
/vote for $25 and 10xp levels
but instead make another one that goes like
Remember that scamming is a perm ban!
It would go around every 5 minuets so people could see it frequently.

Allowing scamming just makes the lives of staff much harder. On minetime, we allow hacks and scamming, yet our staff can sometimes be overwhelmed. You do have more staff than us, but you also have more players and potential to break the rules. No support .

 

I am not saying allow it i am saying if anyone scams make it a perm ban if they do.

if it is only 30 days when do people learn their lesson i know many people who have been banned for scamming and gone back to doing it all over again.

No support, I can see maybe extending the first offense to 14 days, but definitely not perm. To me permbans are for people who break rules over and over, not just one or two offenses

I think it should be a 30 day ban for in game money scams, but a perm ban for scamming irl money and upgrades.

Probably won't happen due to marketing but yeah a ''permanent ban'' for scamming on Minecraft is odd.

 

The reason it should be a perm ban is the people work really hard to get the stuff and it is just taken away right there. They can't even get their items back. I got scammed 5k once and the guy was back in 7 days it was total bullsh*t. Also ingame scams are bad to because you work to get your sets or stuff then you get it away.

 

I think scamming for IRL money should be a perm ban because when they get unbanned they will jusy do it more and will ruin the community.

 

To add on, in-game items should be a 30d ban but scamming someone IRL momey should be perm.

Scamming for IRL money such as ranks should be a permanent ban without being able to appeal or buy the unban. However, scamming for in-game items and money shouldn't be a perm ban. I believe servers such as the prisons and faction game modes should not have a rule against scamming.

I'd perm ban for selling things like minecraft accounts or people cheating other people out of money but anything else, a 2 week ban seems appropriate to me and If they don't get the message maybe a perm ban.
