Why is the list of YouTubers in the Staff Team Section? I don't think if a YouTuber gets promoted, he'll also become a Staff Member...
If you look on the staff team, you'll notice builders are also on there. They don't have the "Staff Member" tag like moderators do, but they are on there because they represent the server. YouTubers would be providing advertisement for the server, thus benefitting the server & becoming apart of the "staff" (people who represent/benefit the server).
Well, I'd assume it's not too difficult to figure out. A YouTuber rank was added because it appears Mineverse is interested in sponsoring one, probably for the benefit of the server.
Such a rank won't fix the issues this server has, nor it's community. The "benefits" of sponsoring anything are quite useless when the thing you're sponsoring is broken.
You seem to be on about something. I didn't say that simply adding a new rank would "fix" the server - I never even said anything that would seem like the server was broken. Mineverse is looking for sponsors. With sponsors, the server could grow once again. Sponsoring a YouTuber could attract players and regardless of whether or not Mineverse may be quote-on-quote "broken", it can still grow. The benefits are not useless.
I understand your point, but having a sponsored YouTuber won't grow player count by much. Could it temporarily? Maybe, but the growth wouldn't last since new players would be exposed to MV's bugs, lag, hackers, and toxicity. Besides EULA, why else do you think player count has dropped so much, and why so many players are leaving?
To be honest, I actually didn't think about why players have been leaving the server. Player growth could be temporary, or it could be permanent based on interest. Some people will learn to play with some issues. You say that almost as if I'm constantly on the page. I haven't been on Mineverse in months, so I wouldn't have noticed it as soon as it popped up. Upon my first visit in a while, I clicked onto the page to see new staff members. I must have overlooked it, because a second trip to the page later in the day revealed the new section to me, thus making me believe it had been added within hours.
What's your point? Seems like you're just looking for a reason to bash the server. No one is asking you to stay if it's such a "toxic" place. YouTubers are for the obvious purpose of advertisement, and any study will show you advertisement does draw attention to whatever is being advertised. That's how Mineverse got it's original peak in players, advertisement.
