oh yeah im definitly not good at the game but i think you forgot how many people are really bad (including hackers) xD
This could be abused by hackers to spam the staff with random screenshots wasting their time. I think this should be limited to 1 per person per week. Support
I fully support this. Seriously 8? Have a hacker pvp a mod when their suspected hacks have nothing to do with pvp'n? What would that prove? What also makes you think that every single mod will be able to perfectly pvp every single time? Your math is way off by a power of 8. If you can play on hundreds of servers like this one, then why don't you? If MineVerse is so bad, then why do you keep coming back? Nope you don't fool me, and I don't buy your argument. If there was any truth in your argument you would have been gone a long time ago. You must like MineVerse. If you have sensitive information on your computer then don't show it to the mods. You will control what they see. If the information is classified government information, or PHI, etc then you are probably violating government regulations by having sensitive material on our personal computer. Finally, you may actually want to read the Official Rules for MineVerse. You are in violation and can be banned because you are using a hacked client irrespective of whether or not you have any of the hacks enabled. "Using a hack client or any unconfirmed mod on the server will not be permitted." Why can't everyone just take a few minutes and prove all is good with your client? If you were doing something that looked suspicious and caught the attention of a mod, then I'm sure you can take a few minutes to prove you were not hacking. Problem solved.
I don't think they should get banned for 31 days straightaway, I think they should be given a tempban for around 3 days, since they refuse to comply...? Support though.
Ummm... I support but I don't want to lose 10-20 mins of my time screen sharing kids. Unless payed. :p
Actually, I think this is one of the best ways fight back against hackers of all kinds; both pvp and non-pvp. Yeah we the players will get a few checks here and there, but I think as time progresses and the die-hard hackers move on to other servers then we may see fewer requests for screen sharing. If this is enabled, and I hope it is, then of course the MineVerse rules will have to be updated to include new policy on screen sharing with mods. It would be very helpful if in those rules they would also identify what would initially be requested to be shared with the mod: such as f3 or config screens etc... That would take some of the mysteries and worries out of it. Of course they will add the terminology to dig deeper if the situation warrants if and when new hacking mods and tools start to roll out. I think StrKillr points out a very good perspective from mods side of things... ... in that they will have better things to do than checking everyone's settings. But I would venture to guess that for every minute they invest in screen sharing with suspected hackers (most may not be hacking...) will save them even more time in filing, responding, banning, and even going over appeals. There may be some growing pains as we all get used to /ss but I'm sure that will make up for all the wrong hackers could potentially do to us and MineVerse on a whole.
u shouldn't have to worry about wasting your time if you actually care about the server and keeping it clean lol
I see why you might think this is a good idea, but I have to say no support. I think it would cause a lot of accusations, then problems from there. I know sometimes I have to go, say for dinner etc. I'd be banned? I'm sorry, but I'm not sure this is a good idea imo.
I mean this is a great idea and all, but here's some things that I need to address. I'm not going to leave my opinion yet because that wouldn't be fair if I haven't had my questions answered What if someone is incredibly young and is scared of all of this stuff coming to them? They don't know how to cope. Not only would they not know what to do, they'd panic and break down. How would you deal with this? The majority of hackers don't want to be banned, so wouldn't they just panic and quit when asked to SS? What would happen then? What if someone refuses because they aren't allowed to, or their parents restrict them from doing these things? 8top I wouldn't really be talking like that if you aren't committed to making a mod app for yourself.
