Get a vpn, or call your internet or router company and they can change your ip.

I'd suggest using a VPN for a little bit until the situation cools down. Do you have any way to prove who is ddosing you? If you could get proof of some sort, I would deal with them. That is against our rules and a serious offense.

VPN doesn't do anything if he already has your IP?

You can release and renew your IP address if you have access to the admin area of your router and also your cmd prompt on your computer. yt tutorials on it.

side note. remove them from skype if you have them added. I have been ddos'd from people i have had added on skype before.

sadly, people like this exist. the only thing that's gonna stop them from ddosing is when they ddos the wrong person, who will then in turn make their online experience even more miserable.

changing your internal IP will do absolutly nothing to stop an attack, unless it is being sent directly to that ip in your router (technially they'd have to be on your router. My best reccomendation would be to contact your ISP and ask them to renew your IP. If he still somehow manages to ddos you then go to the poilce.

Every month Your IP address Changes, the 3 things you can do.
    - Change your name
    - Download a VPN
    - Wait for your IP to change

Changing between ISP can take weeks. Also you have to wait until your contract has run out.
That depends on your ISP policy.
VPN's wont help as the guy already has his IP.

A vpn can only mask your IP, not protect it.

Tell your parents to contact your ISP and ask them to change the IP if possible. Also, just say you read it from some online article. If you mention an online ex-friend is ddosing you, there's going to be trouble
If he ban the person behind this though, they would get rlly pissed off and they won't stop. It's a very tricky situation

ddosing someone as much as he is doing it is a felony (if he lives in the US), punishable by up to 10 years in prison, depending on the severity.
Plus, if they are doing this to you already, you no longer have any obligations to him, as anything he helped u/gave u in game is greatly outweighed by his actions. I suggest you leak his ign, so further action can be taken by staff/players.
