I was just wondering why the server stopped allowing me to self-ban myself (aka ask a mod to ban me b/c I am busy and do not want mineverse to be a distraction)? I used to be able to do this before, but now I have to resort to telling off a mod (I of course told them in advance so they take no offense - they just need evidence) or to hacking.

    Thanks!

Probably because people would joke around and then call out the mod saying that the mod abused his title.

How about you just stop playing if it's such a big distraction that you can't click the disconnect button instead of wasting the Mods' time. Thanks.

People ask to be banned, we ban them and then they make appeals asking to be unbanned because they regret their decision. If Mineverse (or Minecraft in general) is a distraction, uninstalling the game may be the best option for now.

What's the big deal with not removing the server from your list of servers? Its pretty simple. Of course the alternative is just uninstall. If at that point you still have a temptation of playing the server, I'd probably call that an addiction and i'd seek help at that point if you can't stop playing the server after uninstalling. Like Alex said, people would asked to be banned and would later return to be unbanned which made it a hassle and wasting of time for the moderators.

I'd recommend just not playing. If you ever decide to go back on your decision, It will be on your mineverse records.

Getting banned on purpose isn't recommended here, for the same reasons why we no longer do self ban requests.

We use a players ban count as a representation of a player's behavior... You don't want to have a pointless ban there just sitting on your record.
But, the main issue is; 99% of the people who request a ban (or get banned on purpose) regret it and try to get unbanned & appeal. It ends up being a big unnecessary mess.

Really, if you need a break, I (and from behalf of the staff team) strongly advise you to just log out or remove the server so you aren't tempted to join.

Also just to add when I was a Moderator, there were people who'd just say "Andrew ban me now I bet you can't lolool" or "Andrew can you pls ban me"

In both kinds of cases, Mods can't just ban people. It's first of all going to trigger everyone and people would start to spam saying "ban me ban me", which is wasting Mods' time.

About your issue, you could uninstall the game as others have said, or speak to a family member so that your usage of Minecraft can be monitored.

Also, someone might hack you, ask you to be banned and then when you manage to get your account back you're banned and no one believes you were hacked.
