Hello everybody, my name is toad_playsMCJr and I think in my opinion that Mineverse has grown so much over the years. There are even like 750 people online each day! Isn't that amazing? I would just like to see 1,000 people a day on MV! Wouldn't that be amazing!??! -toad_playsMCJr
the server performance and detail in the lobbies have grown. But the server's popularity and player count has greatly dropped. Every few months a couple more people quit. And fewer and fewer people are actively online. Also, I'd say this more has to do with the decline of this game in general. Everyone who once loved this game is growing out of it, and the ageing of the game means fewer and fewer new players are going to join, which explains the player drop.
I mean in general the server runs smoothly. Little major lag as there used to be. As well as new features and updates. Just a general way of saying that for the most part there have been some major improvements this year. Earlier this year it was crashing multiple times per day. Now it rarely crashes and hardly ever even has lag.
when someone tries to be positive, everyone throws that hate at him. why does a thread that someone wants something positive to happen for mineverse have dislikes, idek.
I don't think Mineverse itself has grown or shrunk, I think the whole interest base of Minecraft has changed. Back in 2014 the game was still under Mojang, no EULA, and the creativity and amount of new gamemodes was on a rise. Now, almost in 2017 the game is now owned by Microsoft (who have completely butchered the game with lack of respect for their community), a quasi EULA with some shady enforcement, and now you have huge megaservers (like, Mineverse, Mineplex, Cubecraft, etc) buying up other servers who are being targeted by this blacklist of sorts. This shifts players away from smaller servers. It also seems like the audience range has changed. A few years ago the range was older than now.So while the Mineverse network is large, with MineTime, Mineverse, .net, and .org, the super servers like Mineplex are stealing this new younger player base. Mineverse itself is probably at its best right now staffing wise, its just that our servers need revamps, not just recopies of old servers reset and not fixed. Skyblock on Mineverse is a great example of a step in the right direction. We need to continue to do this for old powerhouse servers like KitPvP, Prison, and Factions, which once commanded 200 players each at a time. KitPvP's reset was a major failure for various reasons, but mainly because very little community input was adhered to. tl;dr things are fine. also don't hate on the guy because he's trying to spread positivity. what are you all, salty ex mods?
all hail dad but yeah guys actually be optimistic. MV was better in the beginning, yes. Then it dropped, yes it did. But now it's sort of walking up right now, and that's a good thing. spread the love, not the salt. Nobody likes too much salt in their chips
