How To Improve The Server WAIT! You might be asking, how do we do all this? Here's how, we hire some more developers, or just get some who are willing to volunteer. (I'm not saying our current devs are bad) Resets First of all, we need to reset the forgotten servers to draw more attention to them. Resets will eliminate duped/glitched items and will be a great way to draw more people to the server. Example: OP Factions Survival Skygrid OP Prison/Prison New Builds Make more maps. Re-design the lobby, make it more spacious. There are plently of servers that need remodeling. Example, OP PvP's lobby. Make More Crates/Voting Links This will increase the encouragement to vote. Having 2-3 links will promote the server more, and adding crates to servers without them will be a great implementation. Also, add a crate in the lobby to get cosmetics. For example, a "Mystery Crate". This will promote more use of the gadgets we have. Example: Kit PvP OP PvP GTA + More Improve Software We need to improve our plugins. Add an Anti-Cheat. Get a new host, we lag and crash way too much. Also, get Europe and Australia proxies. This will decrease lag for players. We also need a better chat filter. It can be bypassed just by putting an _ right in front of the word you want to say. Famous Rank Add these ranks. This will allow semi-popular YouTuber's or streamers to advertise our server and help it grow. Minigames The minigames on here are basically forgotten. Nobody plays "Bake the Cake" or "The Climber". Get rid of the minigames that nobody ever plays. Keep BedWars though, that is fun Unique Plugins Add commands like /trade and commands that will make gameplay easier and more convenient. Add custom enchants to our faction and skyblock servers. These could be passive enchants or enchants that aid PvP. This will add spice to our game modes and make them more enjoyable. More Involvement With Community Host more competitions. These could have rewards of in-game materials, or money on the shop. They are a great way to get people playing more competitively. This would all be nice, but Hosts are expensive, And Cyp and Noob have to pay for them. Also, Op factions is already getting reset soon :D.Like I said, all this would be nice, but some of it is just dreams, Neutral. Good luck :D
Makes it sound like a walk in the park shame cyp is incapable of walking and hence can't fulfill this 'walk in the park' (No disrespect meant, I'm literally saying that the expectations of 'fixing the server' are too large for one mere mortal such as Cyp to do) (P.s I feel it's sad that I even have to include that part above)
This is a lot of work but it needs to be done if cyp wants to save the server I completely support everything you have stated above.
Personally I think the devs suck so bad when was the last time they actually did something that made a difference
I've seen lots of these threads, and I'm gonna comment the same thing other's have said. It's not just Mineverse thats dying, minecraft is dying in general. Hypixel used to peak at 30k, now peaks at 15-20k, Mineplex used to peak at 40k, now's peaking at 20-25k. (Those numbers may be off but they've gone down drastically. Yes, Mineverse used to be a 2.4k player server, but that was because we had a 1 mil subscriber youtuber come one once. After all of his fanboys/girls trickled out, we basically came back to where we were +100 loyal ones. However, I do support these ideas. Mineverse just happens to be dying quicker, its like a negative scatter plot if any of you get that :p. I do believe it would be nice to have them, and could probably bring more players, thus slowing the dying of mv.
Dont want to be advertising or anything but mineplex got their numbers down because of the new anti cheat banned like half of the server
I support the thread, but what Tigerz said is 100% true, it runs deeper than just some lag and plugin problems, however I do believe adding/fixing these will help
i agree you know why people are quitting servers? either they are getting perm banned or bored because they suck so stop perm banning i got perm banned and i wanna get one more chance! whos with me one more chance for everyone
plus instead of banning me ban the people who can freaking hack mine-craft accounts! this is so dumb im not even a threat to mv and i got perm banned people are getting banned for stupid reasons and thats why all the players keep leaving because they know they are wasting their time
