Why I Kinda Hate Mineverse

(before you say "if you hated mineverse you would have already left" i don't hate it enough to leave. if it doesn't change i'll leave)


I Hate Minetime Because Of The Following Reasons

1: It Censors Everything

i get that the server is child friendly but i mean COME ON. You Cant Even Say Gay
And You Cant Say any word with in it (Glass. Grass. etc)

2: it's filled with way too many cringey kids

I'm Tired of the lies "say 123 to adopt a puppy" type lies
on creative. it makes me want to drink bleach sometimes

3: it's laggy

it's nearly unplayable at times. it sucks

4: cringey Mods

there are WAY too many mods who ban for no reason or ban for a stupid reason

5: The No Advertising Rule

it's pure cringey rubbish
seriously since when is posting a youtube link bannable

6: the no deathwish rule

i get the rule but saying "KYS" Jokingly shouldn't get you a ban. that's extremely stupid

Buttt
While Mineverse may have it's downs, it also has its ups. Cyp is trying his best to fix the lag and all of the other issues. Just try to be patient :P With a server this large and with so many people, something is always bound to be broken.

 

Complaining on a thread won't bring you further.

 

1.Gay is censored because you have those haters who will start throwing that word out left and right. And not being mean or anything, but SOMETIMES (not all) "gay" people get insulted really easily.
2.Turn off your chat bud.
3.Location, WiFi, etc.
4.Some of the mods I don't trust, but some are pretty fair.
5.Im pretty sure anything Mineverse related is allowed. You can't be going into chat and posting a link and saying subscribe to my YouTube channel.
6. That can go in either directions. There are lots of kids and some people can't take a joke at all.

2. It's not Mineverse's fault that it appeals to the younger audience.

1. I've tried telling a few kids that I was gay, but it censors it. Idk, it makes me feel kinda bad to see that it was censored, and I can't say homosexual either, because of that, so. There is always that ;-;

3. I feel like if you're like me, and accept the fact that we all die eventually...no matter what we do...suicide isn't all too bad. I mean, there is dealing with the fact that someone took their own life to escape the rest of the world, but then death is also inevitable, and that person was probably suffering with some mental issues and that makes me feel good to know they're in a happier place. Just my opinion, but it makes life easier. For me, at least.

 

You make some interesting points. However; a lot of these seem to be personal problems. Maybe look at things from another P.O.V.?

 

Alright.

 

1. The word "gay" is censored to prevent it being used as an insult, and most of the time it is said it is being used as an insult. If people didn't say the word as an insult, I'm sure it wouldn't be censored. But it is, and Mineverse doesn't want to be a part of degrading the true meaning of it, which is being attracted to the same gender.

2. In number one you say that you get this "is a child friendly server", now you're complaining about children being on it. Identifying things as "cringy" differs from person to person, as it is a personal opinion. The simple solution would be to /ignore the players that are annoying you.

3. The lag comes and goes. The server will be fine for a few months then there's lag for a couple days. Like Random said, the lag is being looked into. But I don't mind the lag as I've learned to play with it, as many others have as well.

4. Again, a personal opinion which only affects your impression of Mineverse.

5. The advertising rules applies for other servers and inappropriate links. Stuff such as youtube or twitch channels are allowed to be advertised, and people are allowed to say "Subscribe to my channel (link)", but they are not allowed to spam it.

6. This is a solid rule that will forever stay a part of Mineverse's Rules. Mineverse holds high value to it members lives, and threatening their lives by giving out death threats will be met with punishments. Joking about telling someone to take their own life is not okay. Even if both sides are joking, it is not appropriate as it is a real issue that affects many people each day. It is also a form of cyber bullying which is a criminal offense in many countries that Mineverse players are from, if not all.


All the reasons which you provided give you no reason to hate Mineverse. At most, they give you a reason to not enjoy playing on Mineverse. Also, most of your points are personal opinions. There are people who like Mineverse because of what you said. It just matters on their standpoint on the matter.

The only thing I can really agree with is the lag. But like Scorvix said, you just have to learn to play with it.
