It's because YouTube has started being a political entity like Facebook. If you're a Republican or right leaning on YouTube you're instantly getting demonetised. On Twitter and Facebook, half of them just get banned. I'm guessing that's the direction YouTube is heading sadly. Pure discrimination.

I can understand that youtube can be discriminatory to some people. including those who are on the left side of the political spectrum. Of course certain things in the right side, such as racism, promoting hate, etc are not allowed and do deserve to be demonetised. I remember that this person who shot up youtube headquarters had a hatred for youtube for them demonetizing her videos. Of couse what she did was waaay to extreme and instead could have done something a lot less violent.
