Hey guys, I have recently been on the parkour server a lot (/parkour) and I have been thinking a little on this. Wouldn't it be cool to add a timer feature to each course? This would add a competitive aspect to parkour. People would be striving to get the fastest time on each course. This would also get players to keep coming back to the parkour server so they can beat their all time records. Just a thought for you guys to ponder, not sure if anyone has suggested this before.
I think both would be cool. Having players compete for the best time would be fun. Having players compete with themselves for their best time would be fun too.
No support. I believe it'll be timely to implement and wouldn't be on the developers minds right now.
Support. This would be a nice addition to the Parkour server. Having a leaderboard to encourage people to return could keep the server more populated, and help bring back more people who already completed the levels. Aside from that, players can set personal goals to further encourage themselves to not give up. Players that tend to rage when struggling can change goals if they are given options such as leaderboards; for example, players could focus on beating a score on a course they are already able to complete instead of raging on one they have trouble passing (Unless they are on level one...) As mentioned by @Synyster Gates , there would be the potential problem of cheaters, but this is nothing new for Mineverse, and people can simply report cheaters, requesting that their scores be removed. As mentioned by @Matthew. , the developers already have a lot to deal with currently, however, this won't always be the case (most likely?). So, even if this feature isn't added in immediately, I think it could be a nice idea for some time in the future when the developers have the time. Also, support for both Personal Leaderboard and Global Leaderboard :D
It's still a really good idea! Support! Btw mathew it wouldn't be take that long to implement, a lot of my friends are dev's and I talked to them about this and they said It would be really easy.
Support, it would be cool to add a feature to make Parkour more competitive. Gives something for players to strive for instead of just a completed title, y'know?
Support It would draw more players to parkour to compete with one another, which is pretty needed. This is quite a good idea
