I'm sorry if any of you find this inappropriate/offensive, if so just click off this! *takes a deep breath* Okay so the other day at school me and my friend ... Let's call her Prudence, mkay? So my friend Prudence and I were eating together, and my friend... Let's call her Gracie, she walked up. She's Filipino and I'm Chinese, and Prudence said "You guys are sisters aren't you?" Gracie walked away grumpily and I said to Prudence "That's pretty racist, mate. You can't say that." To which she said : "But you Asians all look the same!" Okay, time out. I am SO annoyed just thinking about it. Back to the story. Then I mocked her and said All white people look the same. The next day, I walk into my form room and everyone shouts and points at me "JESS IS RACIST!!!!" I explained to them that Prudence said the thing about 'all you Asians' and all of them 'looking the same' but no one seemed to take that into account.... This is an everyday event and I cant even.... Ugh! I literally feel my blood boiling! Am I the only person who feels like this??? Comment below your views and such. Same. I'm Filipino. I had gotten good grades on my report card last year, and some guy walked up to me and asked me if I was Asian.. I don't look Asian but yeah.. People can be racist.
America is a horrible place, human beings are constantly forming stereotypes based on physical appearance and ethnicity. disappointed in our country
Ignore them at all costs. Then laugh at them when they become the most hated people in their later years.
lol at camp last summer someone thought my mom worked with el chapo because she's Hispanic and they openly harassed me about it for a week B)
I don't understand racist people, everyone is the same, maybe they don't look the same, but that doesn't matter, right? Everyone and everything is unique, and hopefully that would never change.
If that happened to me, I wouldn't care about the consequences. If they are harassing you, then you need to stand up for yourself. Racism is a very serious topic in the world today, history is repeating itself again[LA Riots = 2015 Baltimore Riots. Paris Attacks = 9/11]. Just stand up for yourself and do whatever you think is necessary to fend for yourself. Not saying that you should go into school with guns or anything like that, of course you shouldn't. But just stand up for yourself and go to a teacher or someone like that to talk about it, maybe then you can get it all sorted out. Hope the situation gets better.~
