Global Promotion

This isn't a suggestion for lobby I just include the prefix for the slight increase in click bait. This thread is going to be about the ways Mineverse can promote the server.

We all know the player count of Mineverse is decreasing. You say it's just Minecraft that is decreasing but it isn't. There are servers with hundreds or even thousands of daily players. Minecraft is declining but not as quickly as people make it out to be. (There is a server with over 100,000 daily players)

The best way to pick the player count back up is via promotion. Some servers do this very well, but Mineverse is trash, absolute trash at this. We have one official twitter that is shared with another server and we only advertise on one server listing. Yes, we have started YouTube ranks but the people who played with thousands of subscribers have already left. There are only 4 people who actually qualify for the rank.

Social Media

One thing Mineverse does is underestimate the power of social media. We have one Twitter that isn't solely Mineverse. Secondly, Twitter only has 317 million monthly active users. This suggestion is to get an official Mineverse Facebook page. Facebook has 1.74 billion monthly active users and 1.23 billion daily active users. This is over a 7th of the entire population of the world. I really don't understand why Mineverse isn't capitalising on this. The owners don't even need to run the thing, they can easily get volunteers to run the page. [Server Name] has nearly 1 million likes on Facebook. You really think they'd have as many players as they do without Facebook.

Referral System

The second suggestion in this suggestion is a referral system. Each user will have their own referral code when a new player joins the server they type /redeem (or something like that) [The Referral Code They Received] and the player's code they typed in will get a reward on the game-mode they choose. If you have already logged onto the server more than once you can not use this command. It is ONLY for users who are logging in for the first time, this will prevent people from farming rewards using alts (that have already logged on) and their friends. This could be done either in-game and/or when/if they create a forums account. The reward won't be too big to be "op" but not too small that people wouldn't refer people here.

An Official Wiki

Many of the larger servers have an official wiki so why shouldn't Mineverse? The amount of traffic onto here would be slow at first but it's still better than nothing. Low promotion is greatly more beneficial than no promotion. Content that could go on here;

Full Support for the 2 suggestions, but if Mineverse makes a Facebook page Cyp should tell all the news (top voters, gamemodes resets...) on it. Maybe a Mineverse wiki should also be created using this: http://www.wikia.com/Special:CreateNewWiki

As someone that has run a business oriented Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, I can tell you Facebook is the worst for promoting your business. You may post somthing and have ~2000 who follow you but only 1 - 50 people may actually see it. Facebook is about making money, and they want you as the business owner to pay to have access to all of your followers.

I would say a better route to take would be the more visually driven social media. I still feel they would need a Twitter, but also Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat etc.

Just my thoughts on Facebook.

They could give rewards when the person you referred buys a rank in the store, higher rewards for each rank.

That could be abused.
You refer someone. They buy titan. You get reward. They do a charge back. You keep your reward.

 

It's a donated rank? Can it really be refunded?
Can't be abused if the other person has to get money out of their own pocket (or yours)
I didn't even say the rewards either.

 

It can and is, they do a lot of perma bans for charge backs atm.

I support this Idea, I don't think promoting on Facebook would be the best as I agree with Vaxix. I suggest working on twitter, Instagram. Instagram helped out with my clothing line become successful and twitter is great way for big companies to do promotions. You have a good point, we need to have a separate page for Mineverse and Skyblock as they are different servers and different communities. As a business owner you should do special promotions for one community and one service sometimes and same with the other.

I don't support for the FB idea because, it doesn't really do much. I don't expect MC players to be on facebook at all, because the youth don't really chill there. And I don't see a massive impact on players arriving to MV because they saw something on Facebook.
