I think it's about time we start cracking down on the hacker problem and Ip/perm ban them. Why? This will crack down on players who use alts to hack and get gear, or simply switch alts as soon as their banned. Permanently banning should also be implemented because 30 days just isn't enough for hacking. People don't hack on accident, their deliberately breaking the rules and ruining gameplay for others.. Q; But hackers use vpns, A; Not all hackers use vpns. Besides, how hard is it to /banip (user) as opposed to /ban (user) (time)? This will get rid of hackers who use alts but don't know how to run a vpn Q; What about siblings who share the same IP? A; I feel this should be apart of the punishment. Siblings can still appeal if they wish. Q; Will this increase workload for mods? A; Depends on how you look at it. As far as banning, than no. But you may see an increase in appeals. It would be in everyone's best interest to get rid of these hackers. It's at the point where hackers are on 24/7 unless a mod is present, which isn't very often during the later hours. I know this won't completely eliminate the problem, but it's one step closer. Suggestion Summary: Implement perm and Ip banning for hackers. Thanks for your time. I don’t really want this, because I want to keep hacking. Just kidding, but... this will be a big problem for me as I have a brother who I know hacks. People do get perm banned after too many bans, so I think that kind of fixes the problem after awhile. I don’t want perm bans, but yes, a longer ban would be good.
Doesn’t give hackers a excuse to hack. I personally don’t like this because it’ll make players not wanna play mineverse anymore. I have met many hackers that had been banned and became a mineverse player.
