My Server.

Factions and Skyblock are winning currently!

 

Kit Pvp/OP Pvp and Factions/Survival

 

You should really add some sort of creative server (PlotMe, Freebuild). They aren't that hard to setup and just ask me for some help or youtube it. Also I would suggest, for a small player base, Survival and Skyblock. Upgrade to servers that need a player base to function later.

 

Factions would be optimized for a server with little to no players considering it attracts users to work together as a team to fight other players/teams. So adding in factions on to your server would be very beneficial.

Skyblock is more of a solo type of gamemode not entirely but it's mostly solo, so it won't probably attract a lot of players as there's other servers that have it. So maybe go with a survival server to make things a bit different.

 

Beneficial - how so?

 

KitPvP/PvP and Op pvp, and factions. Also PM me your ip. I am currently helping 2 servers. =)

 

Skyblock.

Pros:

• Light-weight world for servers not as strong.

• Island goals for players.

• Fast rendering for computers not as strong.

• Very popular: i.e. other servers have it.

Cons:

• Very popular; i.e. other servers have it.

 

Beneficial considering it brings more teamwork, which means more players that join the server for a faction.

 

Sure, I understand what you're getting at.

> Players leave faction to create other factions.
> Faction server grows.
> Players leave faction server to other servers.
> Other servers grow.
> Server grows.

The only issue is that if players join the faction server to play with their friends, once the friends leave so will the other players. You're smart so you know that people get bored.

I have been on many faction servers with my friends. We always get bored and move on or one will leave leading the others.

 

Correct, people will eventually get bored, he asked for what gamemodes would be best and I said those 2 for specific reasons. He didn't state on how to keep players, he also didn't ask on how to advertise, etc. I am simply telling him 2 gamemodes that will be fine for him starting up.

No I could go more in depth on how he could run his server, but I am not going to as it's just going to be a waste of time and he doesn't have the capital most likely to run it. Nor the experience considering he is asking everyone on here vs going off his own gut feeling of what he should do, so the server will fail most likely.
