I notice that Mineverse has no Discord. I would like to see if people would like to have a community discord.
We have Teamspeak for that kind of communication. This has been brought up before, but so far, the owners aren't interested in getting discord.
I don't think it's needed to add another communication system. Like Dyna said, we already have Teamspeak.
This is really not needed as we have teamspeak and would be a waste of time to set it all up. But anyways yea I would say we should stick with teamspeak.
Support. I have a really bad pc and bandwidth, I can't use teamspeak while playing. I use my phone to skype, I was going to get teamspeak but it's £3.99, while Discord is totally free.
As a user I like Discord, as a mod however it makes things tough to moderate when all you have it perm ban and perm mute. Kinda wish they would make it more user friendly.
I'd really love Discord imo, but @Pile pointed out something I was going to as well. You can only perm ban and mute from what I know, so we'd have to somehow design or find a bot that can actually temp ban and temp mute people. Idk though. I mean, if you get perm banned but get unbanned and you automatically get back on the server, it might work. other than that I'd highly recommend it over Teamspeak. Theres a very organised chat whereas Teamspeak is more about speaking into the mic and the chat isn't that appealing to my eyes either.
Discort is better and free in my opinion. But yet the perm ban and perm mute would indeet be annoying. Accept from this 1 disadvantage I rlly can't come up with any other reasons to not make it. Yes we have an ts server atm but is doesn't harm anyone for making an discort server to does it? As you say this indeet came up before. But if it keeps popping up it proves that the community is intrested in having a discort server, and that the owners should keep it in mind. That how I think aboud it.
Are you suggesting that mineverse gets a Discord? Or are you just asking if players would like so ? If it's a suggestion you should ask a mod to change it to the correct forums location
When I first came onto the forums I suggested this as well :D IMO discord is better than ts in every way there is. Also I don't want to download ts when every other person I've played mc with only uses discord/Skype. Tons of support from me! :D
