True but who knows. The server will need a good head mod though soon to keep things like the staff team together and smooth.

Popular servers have a lot of hackers, even more when these hacks are free and everyone knows about them.
No matter where you go, you're gonna find hackers.

Yes even where your from, skyblock, I remember when I was there, there were a few hackers. But on alot of pvp servers there are hackers. Especially that hacks are so easy to download.

Hello, you have two reports for OpPvP and both were posted today. Could you link me to this reported posted '5 days' ago?

Thank you, Sanity, for taking my place while I was gone. It gets tiring defending the moderators that we have, doesn't it?

First off, getting the moderator spot is similar to getting a job in real life, but there is no reward except for respect. It's just like volunteering, if you were volunteering, would you put all your time and effort into a job that you weren't even getting rewarded for? I wouldn't think so. The community here seriously needs to get better. the moderators can't do anything, and with everybody complaining about moderators, it's no wonder why they can't perform at a prestige level. For example: If you think a moderator has made a mistake on your report/ban appeal, point that mistake out, and they will look back and decided what to do with it after that. There's no need to hate on them for a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes, nobody is perfect. Mods deserve a thank-you, not all these hate threads that make them feel depressed. I honestly don't know why you think this will help the community at all, what you could do is:
    1. Report hackers, making it easier for the limited amount of mods
    2. Give them constructive criticism on their wall, bur make sure it doesn't make them feel depressed
    3. Try to help the mods while they ARE in game

These are just a few examples of ways to help out mods without hurting their feelings or slowing down their progress. I know from my friend quickflame (who has quit minecraft entirely for those of you that may be wondering) how hard moderating is. I've watched over his shoulder while he moderated, and getting spammed by messages is not fun. Maybe create some suggestions in the Suggestions forum section, so that moderators could go and look for some tips?

This is just my opinion on this particular topic, thanks for reading

All I will say is you get out what you put in. Sometimes that means realising moderators cannot be around 24/7. Mods are not all seeing gods, they cannot fix every single problem. You sometimes have to accept and let go, and not invest so much energy in games like this.
This also means realising that there are people out there who want to cheat and make life harder for other players. If you want those people punished you gotta get the proof and help the mods. Yes mods need to do their jobs but they need help.
So you spent money on the server? grats, you just helped it out. No point quitting, just find something to enjoy or come back later.
Mineverse being the way it is does have a fair bit of cheating issues but they are slowly being resolved and the best part is seeing what the server once was and it constantly improving.

    Well, yeah.
I think you're right. Hackers get quite annoying after seeing loads of them and sometimes dying off them. The only thing you could do is record and report or tell a mod when they're online. Popular servers such as this gets a lot of hackers, and it isn't anyone's fault because of it. Sorry for your $100 getting lost just to play for quite a short amount of time. I hope you'll have fun somewhere else.

You'll find hackers everywhere and the only way to get rid of the hackers if you report. Sorry to see you leave Mineverse and I do hope you change your decision but you'll find hackers on other servers as well.

Well there you go. And at this moment in time Cypriot Merkz is reading this and probably disappointed. I am also disappointed, yes, we need a heck more moderators. I really do hope CYP or crew is reading this and thinking.

More mods doesnt mean quality moderating

    Sorry let me elaborate.
Mineverse needs more dedicated moderators who will be able to keep up with the demands of gamemodes. Without people reporting, mods will not be able to catch the rules breakers that they cannot catch because of timezones or commitments. I find it hard to believe moderators would solely rely on reports instead of moderate but it thats happening then I hope theres some serious thought going into doing something about that.
But just because you add 10 more mods on the team doesnt mean those 10 mods will do any more work that the current mods who people claim dont do their jobs. Therefore Cyp needs to find more mods who are dedicated, available and will do their job rather than a bunch of mods who will contribute very little.
But in turn the community has to respect the moderators a bit more. You could say moderating a couple of hubs is not hard but in reality it probably is difficult. So to have added reports because a player was punished, or having to deal with abuse, difficult people, kids and more is a bit challenging. Some people underestimate what the mods do behind what you see then go on rants over mods and its not even necessary.
So my back to my point, find good mods, not more mods. But if you can find a whole ton of good players that would make great mods then that works too.

Not at first glance, but with more moderators tasks are handled quicker, players may be less inclined to cheat with more moderators watching them. If your presence is know 9/10 people wont cheat.

true, but then again just because there is more doesnt mean they will log on and make their presence known.

There is no way Cyp or Crew could prevent hackers from joining. More mods does not mean less hackers. Unless they add GCheat. But please don't, it's bad

Look at badlion at kohi, it is a server created around the category pvp and they have less hackers than mineverse.

No they don't. Badlion has GCheat which helps the mods and Kohi has a lot of no-lifer mods.
