Minecon 2017

Has anyone else heard about this years minecon, appearently the're making it an online stream instead of the big convention. I think this might be the end for minecon capes :eek:, anyone else know about this? Or any other details about it?

All I heard is that there will be no ticket cost.

There are still going to be physical events they are just going to be ran by 3rd party minecraft conventions Minefaire, Minevention and Blockfest who are teaming up with mojang to create "community events" which will be held internationally not just in one location. Personally I think this takes away the whole experience of what Minecon is ment to be and is just not minecon, it's just not the same.
