Gonna be straight here, lag sucks right now. Now, I understand if say, we were starving for money and had to pay the cheapest host to keep the server up. But, we ain't. I know this is "complaining" and all that crap, but that doesn't do much but evade the question. Why the hell do we have lag when its said to be fixed? Is Cypriot running it off bunny powered carrot processors or some crap? (Yes, I say crap a lot) To be fair, the server has been fine and I enjoyed it months back when the lag wasn't this bad, but its dropped dramatically a lot. Also, with the amount of lag we got at the moment, we could just assume he's manually running it off his PC and not off a online host server that could do so much much processing than this. I know I'm ranting here, but anyone else think that the lag we got is a bit too much? I understand a little lag, but its getting to the point of unplayable on servers such as survival or towny where every block you mine with a EFF 5 shovel can't update faster than the shovel can mine. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way I do, of course I could be raging here cause of the lag on the server. . .
For the past couple days on OP Prison, you cannot do anything. It's totally unplayable. If you try to mine and hit a block at one of the mines, it takes 10 seconds to register if it even does. So yeah, lag there desperately needs to be fixed.
The only server I've seen have problems is the revamped KitPvP server. I don't really know if it's server based, or my connection, but on OP PvP I don't experience any lag like I do on there. I don't think it'd be based on the TPS dropping below 20, to maybe 19.5, as I don't think that would cause lag.
It was specifically kitpvp and towny I was speaking of at the time. It could be my location from australia (or wherever the host is at). The server itself has less lag than I was talking about at the time I created the thread. However, it is quite annoying to have this situation happen every so often every few weeks or so.
