-={Infection}=- Revamp/Reset

Before you read what is below take the time to look back if you're a old player to what infection was like when you joined and what it's like now and for the new players reading this just think of how it could have been greif free with everyone low prestige and level.

Now I already know a lot of people are going to be against this and I'm kind of against it myself but it’s the perfect time for a reset on Infection. Now as you may know on February 2nd Mojang/Microsoft is allowing name changes for everyone once every 30 days meaning there's going to be a lot of name changes and people trying to restart their infection/Minecraft game experience.


All infection maps are greifed due to crashes and restarts making the experience on there quite boring for players and resetting or revamping will encourage more people to play the game type again under a different name with a fresh start to the ranking up stage. What I mean by revamping is that they fix the maps and add new maps to the game type meaning new spots for players and a bigger length in the map cycle.


By now there's heaps of us prestige 10's and I know a lot of people want to get the chance to reach prestige 10 but the game type has been out for like 1 year with no reset at all. In my eyes and a lot of others eyes Infection is like factions in the way that once in a while it needs a reset to keep entertaining the community. Resetting would allow the new players of the server to race the older players to be the first prestige 10 making more people play the game type and vote to win the race. Resetting would also stop the rule about prestige 7 and 6 perk spamming for a while meaning players don't need to watch out for those spammers until well it reaches a certain stage of people being a certain high level.

I myself am prestige 10 maxed out lvl 367 I understand you may not like this thread because it has something to do with resetting infection but just think about how ruined the game type maps are and the chance to restart if you choose to change your name.


This isn’t a excuse to quit infection because of the reset, this is a chance to get the enjoyment back, the old players back playing and making the game type what it once was back at the start of 2014 and late 2013 which was the best the game type ever was with at least 40 people on at a time, To race to prestige 10 and to not fear eggs for a while and last but not least. To have every map back to the way it was with new spots and old spots back to the way they were.

One thing that would also be a great thing if the game type was revamped is Merkz and Terrick would have a more relaxing extended time to fix the whole prestige 8-10 problem making it more rewarding if the server was reset to reach that high of a prestige.

I've spent around 30min trying to type this so everyone understands how much damage has been done to infection.

 

Support i Fully support this. Also io think we really do need maybe 3 more maps to make the game mode more fun and not boring. It gets annoying doing the same maps over and over again.

The griefings are really bad and Just plain annoying. the tower on towers, Has now become a rolfing paradise and the only way to kill humans in the tower is to egg or use a titan kit. Forest just looks plain horrible so I hope infection is fixed or I am quitting infection because it is annoying to play now. Like prestiging, theres no point for me. P8-10 is broken

 

Support i am P7 lvl 98 but infection isn't too much fun anymore. @HeyitsAlexa made a really good map and so did others so i think they should be added too

Agreed. I have worked incredibly hard for my Prestige but I would love to see a reset.

New maps, fixed old maps, new Prestiges and better old ones.

Well If this gets accepted then the process would be done fast but I suggest not spamming eggs just for the fact that it's still illegal.

Support, the gamemode is already ruined because of the griefers and we really need to fix Prestige 8,9 and 10.

I support but i would also appreciate if they made it easier to level up for non-donors like me, but i can be op cause i called in 6 airstrikes all at once last night on carnival:t:

 

I think this is a good idea, but rather than getting the old players back together I think It will push them away, a lot of hard work was put into ranking up and this would put all of that to waste, I don't think resetting ranks is a great idea but new maps and having the old ones fixed would be awesome
