Could you please at least give me 3 good reasons why I should promote a forum administrator? This doesn't mean I'll go ahead and promote one but I will keep it in mind if the reasons are valid.

The reason I promoted Zambiana to Forum Administrator on Skyblock forums was because everyone wanted a forum name change. Now that I have added an addon on both forums we don't really need a forum administrator and I can't think of any other reasons why we need one.

 

I only have one reason. Birthdays and other personal info change. This including profile pictures and stuff.

- Plus I'm sure your name has to be at least 8 or something characters long when using the name changer (unless that's only on skyblock) so shorter name change requests can be done
- Can do name or profile picture changes if people have inappropriate names or avatars
- Requested perm bans can be done since they can be unbanned or old requested ones can be unbanned faster

What a forum admin can do:
- Change errors in birthdays and names
-Unban anyone who appeals
-Be like your assistant, Take care of things that you can't, when your busy etc.
-He can help in the help section
-Help and read customer support emails./ [email protected]
-Be like the head mod. Watch and help the mod team and shape it.
-Change change profile pics if they are inappropriate.

So when you think about it, there's a lot that Forum Admins can do.

Yes it is a bit hard to moderate forums 100% while moderating in game.
Normal mods might miss some stuff.

 

A forum admin with limited admin panel access could:

• Edit basic user information(ie: birth dates/name errors).
• Match ip's for suspected ban evading accounts and deal with those accounts accordingly.
• Edit foul profile pictures and signatures.
• Unban accepted forum ban appeals.
• Have access to the spam cleaner for spambot accounts.
• Handle/clean the messy forums as they would have no in game perms and therefore more time.

That's why there needs to be a forum moderator who effectively doesn't play minecraft and can just live on the forums
