Player Mini-maps So as of currently mini-maps that show players locations are allowed due the allowed mods have them. Not only is this more of a cheat than a mod, as it can work much like tracers showing players locations. I believe this is an unfair advantage as for when someone is running, and they crouch, you can still see their location without having to actually see them. If I just misunderstood feel free to let me know! I just don't think mods like this should be allowed! ~Dual~
I am going to support this. Minimaps aren't allowed on many servers, and I'm not sure why they should be allowed here. You could be having a friendly 1v1 with your friend before someone with the minimap mod comes up to you and interrupts. Or if you're running, they can basically tell where you are always are.
I'm going neutral. I understand that minimaps are basically like tracers but I still think we should be allowed to use the minimaps aslong as it doesn't show players on it. I use cosmic client and I use the map writer function on it and it's pretty dahm cool seeing the map on it.
No variant of a minimap is bannable as of right now I believe. Thanks! When I stated player minimaps I was referencing minimaps that show players, I will edit the post to make that more clear.
you dont even know, you could be mining and some kid using a radar mod will know you are underground even if you have an ivisibility potion, they will know you are there. It is similiar to nametags/Tracers which are mods that are included in hacked clients.
