You guys got it all wrong. Where did you come up with the brilliant idea that it should cost money to place blocks so generic like WOOD! even the miners shouldn't be like that, losing money when placing ores. Do you have to pay to put a log on the ground in the real world? NO! you have to leave the job to place blocks then you lose all your job xp. Who agrees that this feature should be removed? (The placing block cost on jobs).

 

Because then you could just mine and place the same block over and over and get money from it.

There are plugins to stop that like the one mcmmo uses. Also, what about the blocks that you want to place on your house but it costs money to do that?

Just dont use that block, I guess. Ot change jobs; digger is a good one.

My opinion. No. This should not be changed. This helps out the economy and makes the server that much better.

You can simply leave the job in order to start building, it's not too hard to do.

Alternatively, you could pay someone else to build a house for you, while you venture out and get more money.

Additionally, I think it'd be cool if there were a builder job. So, people get paid for placing these certain blocks. Problem with this is that it could be seen is extremely overpowered. It's just an idea though.

 

Because that is the way that the plugin works. It is to prevent farming, if you don't like it then you are more than welcome to go the the dev's of the plugin (not the mv ones) and that may get it changed

It's to prevent farming, unless theres a plugin to stop this then we'll keep it like this. Just leave the job and build what you need to, or if you wish to keep your levels, get someone else in your town to do it for you.

The old towny server I used to play (still quite popular) used the same job plugins and towny plugins, they magically fixed the issue here, why is that not true here?

I really don't get what's your big issue here. If you're unhappy about this and you know you can't change it then there's no point in being adamant in staying here if you're that unsatisfied with Mineverse. If you're still relatively OK with it, then just don't kick up a big fuss. It's not going to cost you 1 billion dollars to place a log, right? After all, if you're that conservative, then leave the job and join something else like Digger.

Don't compare Minecraft to the real world.

I... Am... Shocked... You do realise it costs the same amount of money to place the blocks as breaking the blocks? If your using the blocks for building a house, unless someone supplied you with them, you won't end up with any less money, and if we're "relating to the real world" you will almost always end up with less money so it's better here. Also, placing a log in the real world does cost money. Buy the land. Also, if someone did supply you with the blocks, there can't be so many of one or two specific types of block in a house that you can't break that many in the wilderness in a maximum of half an hour, although It will usually only take 5 minutes for an average house. (And Decent Items/Job Level on the Server). I'm sorry if this post offended you, and sorry I didn't put it in paragraphs, but this is just how I see it.
