Creative Server: Disabled Features

It appears that redstone was recently disabled. It really seems like everything useful is being disabled one feature at a time... So I'm curious, is this permanent or temporary?

Also, I've noticed that despite the removal of these features, the server is still often laggy... So that brings me to my second question, were the majority of these features only removed to reduce the lag?

(I've been bothered by the removal of the Head command and dispensers, but redstone too???)

 

All of these disabled features are disabled for a reason. We should be thankful for these things being removed, it shows an attempt at trying to reduce some lag even if it didn't remove it that much. Who knows? If the lag source seems to be coming from somewhere else, it might be added back.
