Bedwars Problems

My IGN is Firefox15, and I love to play Bedwars. The joy if this game mode is nullified, however, when players abuse glitches. For example, many players have found out how to make wool, breaking cobweb with a sword to make string, then making wool with it. Wool, like many other blocks, is unbreakable on Bedwars. Players have abused this loophole by surrounding their beds with it so that they cannot possibly lose. Players can use unbreakable wool to trap and spawnkill enemy players to gain rubies, or just for the enjoyment of it.






As you can maybe see in this image, I had been encased in wool without any chance of breaking out.


There is also a glitch where if a player replaces a bed that he has broken, he can receive infinite rubies. Spawnkilling is also a common problem in Bedwars. Some players avoid destroying an enemy's bed so they can farm them for rubies by trapping them at spawn. Yet another problem, and probably my least favorite, is teamkilling. Allies often attempt to kill you for killing them in a previous game, or even taking too much gold in the game. They can do this by breaking blocks under you as you build or using a fishing rod to knock you off of the island. Allied players often follow you and take any chance that they can to kill you.
If a player dies after his bed is destroyed, he can go AFK at the death screen, and Bedwars will not count him as dead. This can cause games to last until the actual winners give up, and leave.

I am not innocent to all of these crimes, but Bedwars would be a better server if they were fixed, or if Moderators were promoted to Minigames servers to prevent this type of abuse.


I do not mean to sound as if I am complaining, that is not my intention. I am only trying to bring attention to the issues with Bedwars. I love the Minigames server as it is. However, I have never witnessed a player banned from the Minigames for breaking the rules, presumably because there are no Mods to monitor the gameplay.

These are huge issues. Also minigames get very laggy :/

 

The spawn-killing is very annoying.

 

Why wasn't this addressed earlier?

I also wanted to mention that there is sometimes a glitch where a team is unable to build off of their island, leaving them trapped there until the game ends.

This game was a bundle of joy as Fox said until all this happened….
It would much more fun when they are patched although I do not think that there is anything that you can do about the Team-killing issue?

 

I think they could make fishing rods not hurt teammates, but I'm not sure. Here are more wool-glitch screenshots, first one is how people protect their beds, and the next is someone trapping another team as they spawn. (I'm a spectator)

 

There's also a glitch on the map Windmill, where the green team's bed cannot be broken, so that the green team can't lose.

Yes I agree 100% I hate the fact that ignorant players on your own team attack you OR if your building they knock you off with fishing rods... I believe there should be a plugin which does not allow you to attack players on your own team.

I am really sick of players ABUSING these glitches. Its so fustrating knowing your waiting for over 5 mins some times for one match and people glitch or the greens team bed cannot be broken.

 

People have also started to build to the flat section of land on the corners of the map and hidden there, waiting until the other teams give up and leave the game so they can win.

Hey Mozilla I thank you very much for that information , I was unaware that they couldbuild there. I think if worst comes to the worst we would have to shut bedwars down for maintaince

 

Haha no problem. They typically build half way to the land and enderpearl over to it, and by that point they're gone.

 

Another minor issue with this is being able to get to flat lands. I found this out when I was on a killing spree and saw a bridge.. I followed the bridge and saw some people had been building a cute lil house on there. :P


They died.
