Alerts

So my alerts aren't working properly. I've had the problem for a while now. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Sometimes they just don't appear, they're a few hours late and sometimes I get an alert that is just blank.

I thought I was just going crazy. Over the past few days I have noticed I have not received all the notifications I should have.

 

if an alert is blank, someone mentioned you on a profile post.

the only time my alerts are delayed are when I get a trophy, but this happens to everyone. Then again I can't really tell because I can't be bothered looking at the time of alerts

 

@Pile may be able to fix the issue.

 

You've been around here for a while, but thought I might as well mention it, have you checked your alert preferences? They might have.. magically changed themselves.

Also, alerts most of the time aren't 100% on time, I think the server will use a periodic-alert check or something, so every 15 minutes it will check.. ;/
So I suppose if the forums is a little busy that day, I guess this might have affected this interval.

 

I always thought the blank alerts are when someone likes your post and unlikes it?

I get my tags on profile posts normally.

 

It does happen to me.

 

that's for statuses or posts on a profile.

I said it wrong, I meant when someone tags you on a comment on a profile post.

Nope.

 

Sounds like this is a personal issue or we would have more users with issues like this.
Regardless this thread has gone inactive.
