@rpcraig and @Dyna_Mighty Why the dislikes, I know it isn't my thread, but, Satanism is a confirmed religion, and more than 100,000 people in the world follow it and enforce it through their daily lives, and I respect them people.

He is just writing something about it, I don't see why the dislikes and I think it could offend people.

 

It offends me as a Christian. Don't worry he went and had his revenge with a dislike on my moderator application.

Don't worry about the dislikes and there is no need to protect me. People are scared to discover something new and mysterious and therefore they automatically dislike it. That's just how human nature works.

 

I'm pretty sure that among the things that it takes to be a Christian one of them is to be tolerant of other peoples religion. If you are not tolerant with other peoples religion then you are simply a false Christian. You say that you are a Christian because you believe in Christ and you do to church. But that's not all it takes to be a Christian. You also have to give to the community. I can't just wake up and decide one day that in gonna be Christian. It's a process.

I believe I know what being a Christian means. Been one my entire life. I clicked disagree because I happen to, in fact, disagree with what was posted. That is what the rating is there for. He can believe that a purple headed monkey is his god for all I care. He would be wrong in my eyes, but hey, people can believe whatever they want to. I will simply disagree with it. There is a such thing as agree to disagree, which is where I will always stand in this situation.

Nonetheless, religion is quite a heated and controversial topic. With hundreds of religions out there, many fight over what religion is truly the "correct" one. I myself am agnostic, so this all does not bother me much. However, I also respect whatever religion it is people follow, even if I do not follow such religions myself.

 

I can see this becoming a flame war about religions, try to keep it calm please.

Same reason as @Dyna_Mighty, it is my opinion and I don't think this kind of stuff should be on the forums. Just my opinion though. I don't mean to start a religion war on the forums, I just expressed my thoughts of the post. Sorry if you disagree.

 

A forum is for community discussion, anything and be said tbh.
