I seriously don't think anything triggers me harder on this forums other than "No support, reasons stated" LIKE WTF WHAT REASONS ARE YOU GOING ON ABOUT YOU BAFOON. and thats not even the worst part, people literally change their opinion on applications solely on what a moderator says. Like dude please just why kms rn. And its not the moderators fault or anything, its this mob mentally that has infected the forums. Like please if you're gonna make your decision like that, just don't comment at all. You're wasting everyones time. Like if you actually have imput and ways the applicant can improve, then by all means go ahead. But if you're gonna comment that half assed excuse of an opinion, please just dont. I actually dont know what triggers me more, either of those or just people saying "neutral" So I come here tonight on my crappy hotel wifi and my cracked phone to start a petition to end this bs called neutral. Please Im just by the way i blame @Pile for this #TeemKeem
I see moderators literally just say 'No Support' or 'Neutral' all the time, why does it have to be different for players? :/ Oh hey I recognize these posts :t:
No Support. I understand that 'Neutral' can be an excuse to 'post farm', but so can simply saying "Support. " or "No Support." Aside from that, the option 'Neutral' enables viewers to share their current perspective when they are uncertain (or simply unaffected) by the proposed topic. Removing the option of 'Neutral' won't stop people from commenting it. Lastly, your main problem seems to be that many people don't elaborate on their reasoning. The character minimum for posting is already implemented to help prevent this, so I doubt there is much else you can do to improve upon this. Edit: Shouldn't this be under 'Suggestions' or 'Off-Topic: Rants'?
First off, this isn't a suggestion, so there is no point in saying no support, neither is it a rant. It is an opinion. Op-ed if you will. It is in discussion because it regards the forums. Second, I am fine with people being neutral towards a subject, and rating neutral. However, my problem here is that people who comment "neutral" are just wasting their time and others time. Why comment neutral when there is rating, and not only that, not adding anything to your neutral. Also, commenting "no support, reasons stated", is even more pointless, as the author does not know what to exactly improve. Again, wasting everyone's time. Thirdly, and finally, like most new things here the minimum charecter post is very flawed, as you can simply just hold space and it will count them as charecters, therefore making the system almost useless.
If you take the time to read the moderator application, you should take the time to respond to the moderator application.
If you believe this is meant to be in the 'Discussions' section, then my bad. In my opinion, this seems similar to a rant, so I thought it may belong in that category if it wasn't a 'Discussion' or a 'Suggestion'. As for why I thought it was a suggestion... I wasn't sure if you meant the comments or the rating option. Anyway, I agree with your second paragraph (in the quote I'm replying to^). As for the closure, I am also aware of this. My point was that this is already something that staff has tried to change, and that I don't think they would remove ratings too. I do agree that the 'character minimum' feature could use a few improvements though.
Most people don't even bother to read. They look at what their friends or a mod said about it and agree with them, it's the nature of the internet and everyone just follows like sheep.
Whats wrong with changing your opinion after what a moderator says? The moderator usually has a valid opinion on why they changed from support to no support. It is like saying if a person got banned for ddosing someone and this person who got banned had a moderator application open, but you were not aware that this person was banned until the moderator had announced it on the application itself. Would you change your support to a no support for a person who ddosed someone or would you leave your support even after finding out from the moderator because you do not want to look like you're post farming by copying what a moderator said?? Don't answer this as it's a rhetorical question. You should look at what you said in different perspectives as you're only making assumptions saying that people are copying the moderators opinions for no reason when there is an actual valid reason. Although I do agree with "Neutral reasons stated."
Lol. First of all, I didnt even see his moderator application until that day and at that time, because it was on the portal index. Raging because I stated my opinion right after a moderator did? Ridiculous. Sorry if it offended you, although I'm not sure why. The applicant seemed fine with my response and kindly replied to me. I don't tend to read other people's comments on applications until I respond to it myself.
I personally don't believe you should leave just a "support" or "no support" without giving a valid reason in which you are doing so. That's simply what the ratings are for, or am I just being delusional?
The Moderator App section is a just one massive post farm sesh. You see all the people that hit 1k in under 6months have commented pointless stuff on the apps, like if there is noob app the first person will show them the correct template and the list of questions but then the next 10 low life post farmers will DO THE SAME THING. Like seriously. Should be a limit to 1 comment per mod app and if you chance your mind just edit the comment.
The App maker should keep track of whats on his Mod app, the postion doesn't come easy. For anyone else it doesn't matter becuase its a personal opinion not a group hate sesh.
