Curious Question

I'm quite curious, If I change my in-game name, does that affect my status, stats in-game or forums, or anything like that? Would appreciate a reply, gracias.

 

It can affect you in game depending which server. As for forums, no.

 

Hm it would help if you told us the gamemodes you play. But let me try and help out. The possibilities are endless..

You can lose lockette and chestshop signs, so make sure to remove them.

You can lose your Skyblock or hellblock island, if you're very unlucky. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.

You can lose access to your creative plot or prison/op prison plot I think.

I'm not sure if you lose infection levels anymore on name changes.

If you're on the leaderboards on bedwars it won't update your name.

You might lose claims on survival, happened to me once between name changes but I think it's very unlikely to happen.

You might lose protection regions on skygrid, I am not sure on that.

You could possibly lose vault items on kitpvp, op PvP or archer PvP, again not sure completely.

You may lose something on factions/op factions like McMMO levels or something like that.

I am unfamiliar with any losses on GTA, Skywars, Parkour and anything else I missed •_•

That was right on target with everything. But, I actually think the new creative plots plugin now uses UUIDS instead so changing ur name won't affect anything.

Yes you have..? I've told you what you could lose in game from a name change, as for forums, you can't lose anything.

 

When my old in-game name was DinoDuck_, I changed my in-game name to DinoDucky, months after I was able to finally add players and clear my plot because we have a new plugin for Creative. Creative plots will be fine, vaults in Op pvp and Kit PvP will be fine (unless there's a reset) Infection, I am not sure about because you might loose your prestige, but I don't know. Player shops that you've made on Skyblock will not allow you to access it if you have your old in-game name on the sign, you also won't be able to destroy it unless you contact Head-moderators to do it for you.

It resets you Mcmmo ect.

 

I answered him with the most direct answer I could for each gamemode. It's not always 100% chance for you to lose something on some gamemodes, sorry if you didn't understand that.

 

I understood. What I'm telling you is that he was saying he had not recieved a direct answer. That means no maybes, ifs, possibilities, etc. He wanted a straight answer.

 

Again.. There isn't a 100% possibility on some gamemodes. For example on Skyblock you may or may not lose your island, just depends. Can't say for sure.

 

On prison, Cypriot has changed the Rule to still keeping your Mcmmo.

You're funny aren't you, I changed my name when everything wouldn't save, I did it when name changing was new to everyone.

I changed my name not thinking that I'd loose everything, which obviously I did loose everything which is why I am making sure this time. No need to be so negative and rating my things. Especially 'bad spelling' when nothing is spelt bad.
