Filter "kys"

This thread is about protecting people for harm. Banning people for "kys" isn't effective. People will continue to say it over and over and over as there is not anything to prevent it. Also the damage is already done and the victim has been mentally harmed. The priority of the rules to stop people getting abused, offended and hurt. Filtering this will stop the crime before it occurs.

Yes this phrase can easily but bypassed but every other word that is currently effected by the filter can also be easily be bypassed.

And how many of those are frequently used if at all. I've never seen anyone on here say any of those words even on forums.

I'm pretty sure if someone can get banned for saying it, it should be filtered.

No support, they deserve to get banned for attempting to tell someone to end their life.

 

So you're saying people should be allowed to see someone telling them to kill themselves?
It eliminates the possibility of seeing it. Some one with depression or other problems reads it and it triggers all their sorrow and hopelessness then actually kill themselves. The someone died or almost died but at least the guy who triggered it got banned for a month on a server.

 

I'm saying what my thoughts are. Why should people get out of being banned? If they say "kys" to a player they deserve to be banned for that.

I slightly agree with this, but many people who say "Kys" do have a possibility of not getting banned from people not reporting them.

 

This isn't about getting people banned or not it's about making chat suitable and so that people don't have to see people typing "kys". The damage is already done and the victim has been mentally harmed. The filter is to stop people getting abused and offended. The chat rules act like laws to protect people not to dish out punishment. If the police acted like you say Mineverse should act then levels of crime would go through the roof.

 

You just explained what I said? It is about them being banned. If there was a filter it would stop "kys" being said and people could say it all they want and it would say "***" if people even have the nerve to tell someone to suicide, they deserve that ban. This filter is not likely to be added. That is my opinion. Good day.

No matter how many people get banned for it, it will always continue. People will always have to feel depressed until something is done about it properly.

The server doesn't need more bans it needs a better chat that isn't as toxic as it currently is.
