No support. Whether or not people like the new PvP system doesn't really matter, people will adjust and will enjoy 1.10 PvP.
What matters is what players actually enjoy... I doubt everyone would want to play in 1.10, since most people of the servers are pvpers...
exactly. people on mv don't want 1.10, it would ruin the pvp based gamemodes. 1.9 is already bad enough.
There's a group of people who like 1.9 pvp, and a group of people who refuse to change. 1.9 PvP is all fine, you just gotta adjust.
Then why did they make a server for people. Their purpose is to gain money from donations and to do that they have to make the server enjoyable .. would u pay for a server that you don't even enjoy playing in eh?
But as I said majority of the players in the server don't even play in 1.9 and if they make 1.9/1.10 their primary version majority of the players will leave because they are pvpers.. you don't even play 1.9 in mineverse. Why? Because majority of people .. no all people play with 1.8 and it will even be better if they make it 1.7
That wasn't the point of that post :> I was meant to saying that if they changed to 1.7 and downgraded their server it would be harder for the players.. Because most servers are 1.8, 1.9 & 1.10. Not to mention if they went to 1.7, they couldn't do the same thing that that they do with 1.8 with it supporting 1.9 & 1.10 clients. If they went to 1.7 they would only be 1.7. Yet so many servers are 1.10, the top 3 most popular servers are 1.10 only. And they have pvp gamemodes and their players still play there.
I'm talking about mineverse though not other servers and the suggestion is only for op pvp not the whole server..
That would make it even worse... for just OP PvP to be downgraded. So you're saying if you want to play OP PvP you have to be on 1.7, but then you have to close minecraft and switch to 1.8+ to play like.. KitPvP.
Even if it was every 30 minutes to 1 hour, I rather not be switching so rapidly to play different gamemodes. I'll still be No Support 100% :>
Switching takes like 1 minute to do or you can open another minecraft with the 1.8 version and join the server with it then leave the server in the 1.7 version.. If thats possible
I don't even think it's possible to downgrade the server to 1.7, with all the plugins optimised for 1.8 downgrading to 1.7 would result in the plugins becoming unstable and/or render them useless.
I have a lot of experience with ownership and this is possible, they would need a separate host to have different versions for the server depending on game mode but it can be done, though I doubt they would. (Technically there would be two separate servers but I believe they can be linked somehow with plugins.) It costs far more and would require configuring a few things, not worth the hassle for such a slight change.
And not switching takes half a second. No support. Everything is updated to 1.8+. It would be a PITA to downgrade.
Well I guess.. I doubt they're going to do it anyway... they have loads of glitches to fix.. but I still support the idea
