I hope I'm posting this in the right place, if not please move it. My Minecraft has been crashing since I reinstalled Windows 8.1 after switching from Ubuntu. It was running fine, until the day after, it just started crashing. It does this on all versions, even the optifine ones. Okay, I went into the options.txt file and changed fullscreen to false. It works now. I'll report this to be closed.
Try go into winrar and open up to the roaming folder under users and what not) and I just straight up deleted the entire .Minecraft folder, then just run the .exe Worth a try. Nvm he fixed it....
