What's this about urgency? All I'm saying is that there is more to life than a number one has under their name. Anyways, it's not like they don't deserve the larger number, they have put in the extra work.
I disagree. They sign up for it, as did I. And tbh, it is extremely easy to post far. There are ppl who care about posts, you just gotta accept that. It's a suggestion. Idc all that much, it's just something I feel could be suggested.
Support. this gonna sound dumb but if post farming is spamming the moderator applications with random "no supports", then i think replying to reports with the same thing over and over again is the same thing.
Alright, but if this does get accepted it will be unfair on the people who don't have an extreme amountof messages, we have people going onto 10k messages and surely posting in these sections helped them....it's now much more difficult for me or other people to reach 10k messages.
That's the point... Disabling this in staff sections would drop those '10k messages' down a fair amount, giving people the chance to somewhat catch up. Have a look at the top posts page - Top 3 people are/have been active staff who I can guarantee have obtained many of their messages thru these means. Furthermore, overall on the top posters page, 17/18 of the people on there are/have been staff members. I know I'm not on there, but I'd say that if this was implemented my posts would drop quite a fair amount as well.
Okay, but what about the trophies people received from reaching five thousand messages? They'll lose the messages but they won't lost the trophies even if their total number of messages drops.
They don't, when a player gained a trophy and subsequently well known member as a result of rate abuse, even after the abuse was removed he retained the trophy.
They will not lose their trophies. Also removing post counts from the unseen staff section is not what your original suggestion was. I have no problem with that. Removing post counts from where I work, aka: reports/appeals/bugs/help/intros would be what I am against. Removing post counts from those sections would remove post counts from every member not just staff. There are some staff who I feel post farmed in the staff section. Ban logs to be specific, but those staff were miss informed and poorly trained. Ban logs should only be for logging evidence/proof of bans from in game. Those bans not associated with reports as reports already have the evidence logged within it. These staff that I speak of logged every report they handled in their ban logs. That to me seems like farming so when I was repromoted and saw this happening I put a stop to it as soon as I could. There is no reason a mod should have to log a link to a report in their ban logs. As for my ban log, it's not extensive as most of my band have been from handling reports.
