So, the requirements for mod are: - Minimal 50 posts - Two Factor Authentication - 2 Weeks registered on the Mineverse forums - Skype or teamspeak 3 I suggest to change the minimal of 50 posts to 500. And to change 2 weeks registered on the forums to 3 months. Why? I've never seen someone who got mod with 50 posts and joined 2 weeks ago.
Your suggestion is to make it so that people with less than 500 messages cannot apply? I am saying that we have good moderators who had LESS than 500 messages when they were accepted.
I believe @Exstatisfy , but I know for sure @Wardogs411 . Maybe @Torch and I am sure there are a few others.
It means people who would have been accepted and would of been good moderators can't get promoted because they can't apply until they have over 500 messages. This also encourages extreme post farming.
You don't have to post farm to get 500 messages. And I think that saying "No support" to Moderator applications from people with 50 messages is more post farming.
*cough* 21 days after joining the forums, I applied when I had a post count of 1, and that message was from posting the application. Yeah, it took my application 7 months to be accepted, but that's because I built up a massive reputation after applying for Moderator. Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with this. A minimal post count of 50 is totally fine in my eyes, because if that person is dedicated and serious about this, they would continue to be a part of the community and build reputations.
^Alex is a great moderator, if she managed to achieve this then what you're suggesting should not be set as the requirements in my opinion. Sorry, no support.
I don't support having a minimum requirement of 500 posts, so maybe 100-200? But I can see where you're coming from. Neutral sliding towards Support.
I had about 300, no active member and never abused my time as mod. It's about the person no their forum standing, forums is a just a toxic popularity contest.
Actually, @Wardogs411 was someone who had almost no posts, and he still managed to get mod. @Rythen , too Let's not make this a popularity contest.
