Parkour Submissions c:

This thread is really just to address a subject and idea that could be cool on this server. And I've come to ask you all your opinion on my idea... :P Feel free to comment suggestions and such (whatever really ^-^) Anyways, i have seen on a couple servers I play as well a parkour gamemode, like on Mineverse. However, I feel like a cool idea that would bring the server and the players together and closer. What if some parkour courses were submitted by players and used for others on the server to parkour on? Now, this would indeed change the parkour gamemode that is used at this moment, but I believe that this addition will have a positive effect on the Mineverse community.
The ways that I have thought up if this idea is considered, are as follow:
1.) Have people on the creative gamemode design and produce a parkour course, and use an in-game command (Example: /submit) and enter their course into the staff, in which the staff will choose to have this course used or not.
2.) Have a "special event" where players may create courses and the winners shall have their courses used in the parkour gamemode.
3.) Add a thread on forums where players may submit a picture or video of their created parkour course on the server, and if staff accepts the course will have it featured on the parkour gamemode.
Thank you for listening to my idea and I hope that others agree that this thought could bring the community even closer than it is! :D

 

Personally on mineverse I think the "parkour" game mode is very lame, having this idea would make:

• More people play "Parkour"
• Better parkour obstacles
• More fun

Yea unfortunately the parkour server can't add in a lot of courses because it'll eventually reach the max build height.

Not necessary, it doesn't have to be in the same place it could be in different locations and I don't think one course is going to be like 500 blocks up.

 

Cyp does not want to break to make a new tower as thats the reason Rank 25 was not added last time there was a new update to parkour.

@Methylone, in the server.properties for parkour he can easily change the height building limit so that is not a issue.

But it is going to become like the other mini games, nobody plays on it. Sounds like a good idea, but not for here...

There should be a warp for all of the maps that have been accepted. Although I like the idea, it shouldn't be in a tower. It should be on flat land stretching out.
