Overview: Recently, a new plugin has been added to OPPrison. With it, have come a lot of negative additions and cutbacks on commands that have been used by most of the players. In terms of fixing, a lot of us would like to revert or change the new plugin. Here are some of the issues... - Plots & /p list: When entering plots, the player is introduced to the plot owner and their plot ID in gold and cyan colors. This block of text overwhelms the player as they enter the plot. Even though this can seem like a good thing, as players can easily tell who owns the plot without using a command, players, for example, who set up near the edge of the border cannot even see past the text when entering because of the large plot ID. Example: Plot: plotme;-769227;769170 Owned by jabarth379 (This example enlarges to fit the full screen.) Another issue with this is the inability to use /p list. This command, when used, brought up a list of the plots you were added to, allowing you to teleport to them at will to build. Now with this new command, it brings up a GUI of a few choices, all of which fail to show any lists. Players now have to rely on remembering added/friends plots to go to them, making it very inefficient. - Fixes some things, ignores others: The new plugin, in general, was aimed to fix a lot of issues on OPPrison. However, it missed clearly highlighted topics and added unnecessary things. One of the main issues it lacked to fix is the plugin with commands. Issuing the same command twice still results in an error/no command being issued, a big necessity for fast mining. - Lag, in General With the new plugin, there has been more lag created. With our experiences on the OPPrison community, as a whole, we have not received as much lag. There are times where I type something and the whole server freezes, causing people to spam "lagggggg" or break the "2 Second remaining" cool down.
I support the idea of fixing the problems, but I disagree with the idea of reverting back to the old plugin.
Now do creative. Please, the lag is frustratingly painful. Plotsquared did more harm than good, just saying.
