We've all seen the bhop scrts in hack clients now, there is no doubt someone is cheating if they use it. I recommend adding a system that either automatically bans such players. Another way to deal with this is a vote, for example; Someone reports a hacker bhopping with killaura but instead of only staff being able to see the report as usual, every player with over 500 posts can see it and vote on whether he is hacking or not, requiring at least 5 people to vote yes to ban him, there is usually around 30 people on the forum compared to 5 mods. This would speed things up a lot. Abusing this system would of course lead to being forum banned. Only the most obvious hackers like this one will be banned using this system. Hey! It's my vid! :D Sub! Like! Comment! :P nah, jk, Neutral. It can really help! The only problem I can see is that some people can group up and falsely ban a player.
I don't think someone with 500 messages is going to want to get banned, and you would need 5 people to falsely ban the suspect. I just doubt such dedicated people would sacrifice their accounts to ban a single player who is likely to get unbanned.
Basically, no need for staff to review reports on the most obvious hackers, instead experienced members will be voting to get hackers banned.
No Support. The whole purpose of having staff is for moderating servers, keeping people from breaking the rules, and just simply helping out. If a player is able to decide on a player report then that would be acting as staff in a way. In my opinion I believe all player reports, ban appeals, etc should all be private and left to staff to deal with otherwise it can cause a lot of toxicity with the community which is not what we want.
I don't like the idea of the voting system. Players who do not like a certain player can gang up and vote yes, even if they may not be hacking, then use the excuse of 'oh it looked like hacks to me' to avoid being punished for abusing the system. Leave the reports to the Moderators.
Neutral People can falsely ban the player, and still, a staff member would have to look at the post and go ban the player.
No Support; a mod, someone who wouldn't false-ban on purpose (in most cases), would need to ban them anyway so they might as well decide if they're hacking or not instead of a bunch of possibly biased players.
