I just noticed that salvage payout on gold swords was reduced by 50%! If you repair a gold sword so you can salvage it, you can only break even at best. It costs 1 gold ingot to repair and you get 1 gold ingot when you salvage. If the sword is heavily damaged then it will will cost 2 ingots to repair which will then result in a loss during salvaging. It used to be that you would get two gold ingots since (I assumed) that is what it would cost to make it. Would anyone know if this is an intentional or permanent change? No one has yet to officially comment on if the lack of mcMMO xp from pigmen is intentional or not (by the way it still does not work). Are these two changes in mcMMO xp related I wonder? Would anyone know of any other alterations to mcMMO? Thanks! Blue
Poseidon, are you saying it is "intentional" because you spoke with admins/owners? Or is that just a guess? I'm asking since you followed that up with "I'd imagine" so I'm not sure how sure you are. I'm supposing that if this was due to an update then perhaps the configs were altered and could be reverted/modified. Poseidon, I did not even consider the possibility of an update to that plugin. Thanks for that idea! If it was an update, then this update did not fix the Super-Breaker glitch since I heard a D-prisoner in chat cry over the loss of their efficiency V pick yesterday. Oh it just occurred to me that I can review my logs to see what version of mcMMO is/was running: 2016-06-19 mcMMO version 1.5.00-b3547 2016-06-20 mcMMO version 1.5.04-SNAPSHOT-b78 Yeah, after the server rebooted at midnight PST it came back up with the new version. That, by the way, was a very odd reboot. I found a "small" base and raided it a few hours before and after the reboot the spoils from the raid were gone so I guess they got their stuff back. Wish I recorded those coords! LOL! Almost as if the cache was not flushed/written back to the drives or something like that. Oh well my loss is their (re)gain. Reviewing the change log for this latest mcMMO update the following may be significant: v1.5.04 :: ! Zombie Pigmen spawned from nether portals are now considered spawner mobs NOTE: I'm not sure what that means. Are spawner mobs disabled for giving mcMMO xp? v1.5.01 :: - Removed salvage ability from Repair, salvage has it's own (child) skill now NOTE: New skill... v1.5.01 :: + Added summon length to "Call of the Wild". Summons will now commit suicide after their lifespan expires NOTE: how sad.. I'm going to miss my pack when they commit suicide! Not sure how long they will live for... I can only assume that is a config option. Either way, this does change the playability of the game and makes it more difficult for lower ranked individuals to catch up with those who are well established. Hopefully the config files can be updated to bring back the original game play since it looks like mcMMO is highly configurable. Thanks! Blue
Yes, the plugin did recently update as you can see here http://www.mineverse.com/threads/prison-mcmmo-uuid-support.91294/ , and the reason prison was rolled back by 10-12 hours was because they were converting all of the mcmmo data that they had stored. Back to the pigmen issue, as far as I am aware, spawner mobs are supposed to be the mobs that give you mcmmo xp. Have you tried hitting any mobs recently (not players) and seen an increase in mcmmo levels? Try hit a skeleton? What I said could be correct vice-versa but I'm not sure.
Great link Poseidon! I did not see that before! Yes that would explain the 10-12 hour rollback. No I have not checked the mcMMO xp levels in the last 12 hours. Pigmen did not work last night when I hit them. I will give it a try later tonight and see what happens with pigmen and naturally spawned mobs too. Thanks!
