Introduction Welcome to my moderator application! I hate to be so negative in the very beginning of this application but I just want to point out the fact that people change. Obviously at times I have changed in a bad way (by “at times” I mean all the time). This was obviously a hard decision to make for I have been considering becoming a moderator for a very long time. Most of the reasons were along the similar lines of either “all my friends are” or “I want to give revenge to the people who are rude to me”. They are all reasons I had thought up of when my brain was a peanut and I was 10 years old. I have decided to start fresh and clean and for so long I have been trying to change to make a reputation where I wasn’t judged on the past. This question to me is taken in very different perspectives. I decided the most efficient way was to list my qualities, for that’s what majority of people do and it is more well organized. Organized I am often told I have OCD, for it is a joke people make up because I love to clean things. It hurts my eyes to see things messy and I have always had the good handy habit to be organized. I always keep everything in its orderly place and if they are not I will take the time to categorize them deeply. This helps me with relationships and reports, as well as suggestions. When people are dealing with situations and message me about it I will try with my full effort to help them. I try to make more reports in general but I am working on using the format (Player Name) Reason for Ban, Date It is very helpful to me because I like to be organized. Mature I feel like this had me in a lot of trouble. My friends always would deal with problems and I would try to defend them which is why I was known to be so rude. These past months I have worked with much effort to fix these “reputations” I have made. It is a embarrassment. Maturity is a key factor to not only being a moderator but your life. I easily handle situations without making a big fuss over it and I always type with proper punctuation and capitalization. I make sure to not make those mistakes but at times it happens. Maturity can develop other learning players for most of the players are probably kids. It is a good example to set to people who are at a learning age. Safe At the same time I do love to have fun I also need to ensure that the players of a wonderful server have to have wonderful minds. This includes the excessive hackers on PvP related game modes. I believe many of the hackers and scammers are not sure of the effort other people put. I hope to make the server safer in this way. Many people curse or “avoid the filter’. Avoiding the filter is not a mute/ban but it still annoys me. For I have done this way too many times I may be called a hypocrite. But it is a lack of maturity and upsetting to see the influence that kids who are at learning ages get to be endorsed in such foul language and parts of growing up that they do not need to know at their ages. Responsible When I do make a mistake I will most likely take action for my own problem. I always believed in the quote “You are responsible for your own actions”. If I mistakenly ban the player that reported, I will repay them with money on game modes. It is right to take action for the things you mistakenly or purposely do. This could help lead to a Mineverse where people will repay each other for the things they have done to each other. Tough When players threaten to hack my account or delete my account from Minecraft, I do not take any fear from this. It is very intimidating at times but I deal with it very smoothly. When my friends say death wishes or teach young players inappropriate content, I will report them even though they are my friends. I like to take things through both sides to see which side is fair for everyone, even if it means to lose all of my friends. Active I have played on this server for about 2 years and I know the basic rules and how to tell if someone is breaking those rules. Also I am very active in game which means more reports that are done. The amount of time you are active on the server can make you meet new people and find more rule breakers. Knowledgeable I know most of the commands moderators need to “punish” players. These include: /mute [player] /unban [player] /tempban [player] [time] /kick [player] [reason] /fly /ban [player] [reason] appeal @Mineverse.com ~JT Hard Working Being a moderator, I believe that you work hard and play hard. Therefore when I come on Mineverse to play I stay on the lookout for anyone hacking or disobeying the rules and at the same time be able to enjoy what I am doing. I love the feeling of having hard work pay off and I know for sure that it does pay off so I always try with my fullest potential. Respectful I have at times abused the jobs that the staff do but it was in the past. I believe what’s happening now is what’s more important. I have made close relationships with a lot of mods and even though I do not know half of them I love all of them. The players are also one of my closest friends and they are all my pals no matter what happens. Respect is something that should be given and received. A moderator should be very helpful in a respectful manner towards whoever the person is. Trustworthy This again took a long while but it has come to a point where I have received a lot of trust from people. This comes in many situations; from problems they have in real life all the way to fights that they have. I always try to be there to listen and am a very reliable partner when it comes to trust. Humorous I hate to be a moderator that is just always mad and strict and stiff as a stick. I like to bend around with the fact that I am a moderator. This does not mean that I will break all the rules and hack. I am talking about in a good way. I like to have some fun in the games that I do play. I try my best to make people laugh because it makes me feel like I am a fun person to be around. It helps with relationships and also like I said before trust. Humor is one of a humans best medicine and I am happy if I can be a part of it. Teamworker Excuse the grammar. I love to work in a team. To be part of such a perfect group of members and doing the job as a whole is a great experience to me. I love to work together with people and almost never do anything alone. I always have someone by my side. Being a moderator is not only just carrying out the abilities of the administrators, but also to work as a team to stand out as a fair and good example to the people of Mineverse. How long can you be active on the server everyday? This depends on what happens throughout the day. I have lately been inactive due to family issues (divorce) so I am trying my hardest to get back on whenever I have free time. Obviously I am not following the same exact routine every day so these are approximate hours I can spend. Sunday: 5+ Monday: 5+ Tuesday: 5+ Wednesday: 5+ Thursday: 5+ Friday: 5+ Saturday: 6+ How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been playing for 2 years, coming closer to 3. Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game) Yes, I have been banned 3-4 times. These were all stupid things I have done and I deeply regret what influence I made. Sorry dude, I'm saying this as your friend. I cannot support you. Just yesterday you used loads of profanity. I lost count of how many times you told people to "fck off" when they killed you. This happened just yesterday, it's takes more time to change. Especially changing this much.
