EUR ♔Shireen's Moderator Application ☾

~ Prologue: ~

Before we get to my application, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself, and why I am applying.
Hey There, I'm Shireen and I am 13 years of age. The server that I mainly stick to is Prison, but I do often journey over to other servers such as Infection and Skyblock, as well as KitPvP and OP PvP. I still tend to stay on Prison though as that is where I am most comfortable. However, that does not mean that I am limited at all. I can assure you that I have the experience to moderate globally and fully on all of the servers Mineverse has to offer. Moreover, the basis of this prologue is to tell you the reason behind me applying for the moderator position. Some of the main reasons behind this application is so I can help out the server as much as I possibly can. On top of that I would further love to motivate myself to do better for my favourite server.

~ What timezone are you in? ~

My usual timezone is GMT, but we are currently in BST (British Summer Time), which is GMT+1.

~ What country do you live in? ~

I live in the United Kingdom.

~ What languages do you speak? ~

My main language is English, however I also am fluent in Czech and I am currently learning French.

~ Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? ~

For recording purposes I use Bandicam and for screenshots I like to switch between the default Minecraft screenshot function and Gyazo.

~ Why do you think you should become a mod? ~

I think that I should become a mod because I love helping others! It's something I've always been good at doing, whether it be around my house to help my family or to help my friends and other students, even teachers in school. I'm also not a shy person, so I would not be faded at all with any question that people would happen to bring to my attention. With saying that, I would also like to say I strive on question as I believe that they make me grow as a person and allow me to become better at a certain thing and quicker with response timings, which I also see as a key factor as I'm aware a lot of the time moderators will be rushed with questions.


~ Affable ~

I view myself as a very approachable person, as I believe that anyone could come up to me at any time and ask me a question, or anything and I would happily help them out. This will carry on to if I do become a moderator, though I will be have to obviously be more strict, but I would still again class myself as approachable.

~ Active ~

I believe that this is an important thing to behold, as well as dedication. Both are similar as my dedication allows me to be active. My activity on both the forums and the server are very high, more specifically on weekends as of course I do attend school on a weekly basis (Besides school holidays).

~ Responsible ~

Responsibility plays quite a large role in being a moderator. I'm a very careful individual when it comes to what I do. Adding to that, I basically would say that I'm not "afraid" to ask question when I am stuck, which would help me out in the long run and further grow my knowledge.

~ Favouritism ~

I'm definitely not a bias individual, nor do I choose favourites. Of course I have friends, and I have really good friends - Best friends, you could say - But, that's just a part of being human. Though, since they are my friend, surely they would not put me in the position to have to punish them. I'm a serious person when it comes to stuff like this, being a helpful person amongst a great community. So, with saying that I would like to add that I'm a fair person, I would want to hear both sides of a story.

~ Helpful ~

I am a very helpful person. This role is very largely based on helping so it does suit me very, very well. I am always up for helping people and I actually strive of doing so. I believe it makes me a better person. I'll never shy away from helping someone, and I will never shy away from people helping me.

~ Gregarious ~

I love seeing new people, and with if I was a moderator I would welcome each and every person equally. Make them feel like it's a new "home", as many of our long lasting members will call it. I see it as a type of "home", I guess. I am here a lot of my time throughout my day and I love it.

~ How long can you be active on the server everyday? ~

Monday: 3-7 hours
Tuesday: 2-5 hours
Wednesday: 3-7 hours
Thursday: 2-5 hours
Friday: 2-5 hours
Saturday: 2-10 hours
Sunday: 3-7 hours

~ How long have you been playing Mineverse? ~

I have been playing Mineverse actively for around 2 years now.



~ Have you ever been banned in the past? ~

Sadly, I have been banned on forums and also twice on the server.
My first and only ban on the forums was for "like farming". This happened when I was new to the forums and wasn't totally sure of the rules. I do apologise for this and I can assure you I will not do this again.
My first ban in-game was a complete misunderstanding. Both me and my cousin play on this server and my ban revolved around him. Since at one point he was banned he decided to use my account to play on the server. He no longer has access to my account so this will no longer be a problem.
My second ban was again behind ban evading because of my cousin. This time because our IP addresses showed up as the same because, with him being my cousin he has logged into his account on my PC before. I'm sure the moderators are now aware that he is my cousin along with this he will no longer ever be able to go onto my account.


~ Do you have any past experience as a moderator? ~

Unfortunately I do not have any past experience with moderating, although with saying that I believe that if given the chance to moderate here I am sure I will obtain the experience I would need to fulfil the position greatly.

~ Do you meet the requirements for staff? ~

As of now, I have over 50 posts. I have also stated previously that I have 2-Factor Authentication enabled. I've been on the forums 9 months now, as I joined on the 13th of September 2015. Finally, I also have Skype and would be happy to add anyone on the team as well as the staff chat. Along with Skype, I am a frequent user of Teamspeak, so that isn't a problem either.

~ Do you have 2FA enabled? Yes/No ~

Yes, I have 2-Factor Authentication enabled.
