When Kit is fully reset, can you make it not Pay2Win? It's a reset, it's the best time to remove the kits and make it EULA compliant. If they remove donor kits, they can add some ranks that you can buy with in-game money, such as 500, 700, 1000, etc.. Just an idea to start pointing the server towards EULA compliance.
Is there going to be any point to being a donor? Does EULA allow you to make it so that donors perhaps get lower kit cool downs, but the same kits as non donors or something? Perhaps it's time for a complete change in the style of KitPvP.
In the EULA people who have already bought ranks and such are allowed to keep their purchased items. The server can do what other servers like the Archon are doing, supply crates which give you your rank but other people can also pick up the supply crate allowing them a chance at the rank.
So in other words it could be the exact same except with a way to get the rank for free? Voting allows that, is that not enough? I understand the basics of the EULA, it's just that it is such a circumstantial idea.
It's a good idea, where people can save up in-game money to buy "ranks", so the pay2win isn't there, but I think they still need to figure out a way to earn money. And those people with ranks... What are they going to do with that then?
Absolutely not xD Voting is probably not enough... Also timezones :P (being salty) It's hard for some people with really weird timezones to get up extremely early in the morning to vote then try to sleep again, just to try to get on Top Voter. (salt inbound)
Of course voting is not enough, when lots of times the same Titan players win the ranks. Not to mention how wonky the voting system is now, the month before last month some people won with 28 votes when there were clearly some with 30, and last month someone won with 33 votes, and only one of the 5 top voters on per the website (who was already Titan before the contest, mind you) actually got a prize.
You two don't quite understand what we're talking about, do you? We're talking about how top voter gives them a 'chance' just as what the other servers are doing with supply crates and such.
Well, on another server which play on everyone who has already purchased a rank is allowed to keep it but no one else can buy them. Yes, it isn't the best idea but there'd be way too many complaints to the servers if ranks were removed.
Of course there would be complaints. Some people paid 250$ for Titan, and to see it replaced with cosmetic stuff?
And so what? A few complaints from people who like to play unfairly and want to win all the time. There is probably going to be more complaints if they let people keep things that nobody else can ever get again.
They paid 250$ to donate to the server, and a titan rank was just provided afterwards as a form of thank you. People don't understand that.
Taken from Google, a donation is defined as : "A donation is a gift given by physical or legal persons, typically for charitable purposes and/or to benefit a cause. Adonation may take various forms, including cash offering, services, new or used goods including clothing, toys, food, and vehicles." When you donate to a charity, do you expect something in return? Not usually, and you shouldn't. It's the same principle here, you're donating for the good of the server, not for the rank. Otherwise you'd simply be purchasing extra perks and kits.
I recommend doing a trick that goes with EULA. You want to make the kitd buyable for some money ingame. But the donors don't have to pay.
