So... I'm really not sure how to think about spawnkilling, especially on BedWars: Basically stuff like this does occur ^ I mean it's not totally "evil", etc., but it really is annoying. Like you are just ruining people's gameplay by farming kills. I was in a BedWars game once when my team lost but before that, two members from another team rushed us and one just stood near the bed, without breaking it, while the other just continuously killed us. I mean, the objective is to kill them all (eliminate the bed first)... Why must you just spawnkill? Just go for the bed, then kill them, isn't it? :P
It's annoying, but it's a tactic. I believe people mostly do it so that the team they are attacking can't quickly access their enderchests and grab weapons to fight back.
It's true, but if they are so obviously camping and not even bothering to break the team's bed, it's just really annoying.
Spawn killing is kind of cheating. Not just in bedwars, But infection has that problem as well. Each team should have a little Hut or something. that no one can enter or build in. Just a spawn area. were people can get into the game and not worry about being spam killed. Its a tactic yes, but annoying. It is even more frustrating when they are just sitting there spamming attack just to rack up kills or points
its annoying yeah, im only ok with it when its necessary like to give time when trying to get the teams bed, esp if its hella protected or in rare cases where someone still has wool and it takes forever to try to break the bed through block glitching or lagging through
I don't believe spawn killing is what bothers people. I think it's losing. The nature of bedwars is that the game starts, and everyone pushes to mid or to another base. Opposing teams push enemies back, wearing them down until they are contained to their own island. Then, in order to win, you have to wear them down further, to one block where you can contain them with spawn killing just long enough to get the bed. In some situations, especially in a 1v5 case against a well protected bed, spawnkilling until the other team quits is a necessity. You would be surprised how fast you die when 5 people are punching you. I had people in one game accuse me of spawn killing despite me letting them spawn and get their bearings before I attacked. I also would count to 5 in chat before attacking and that was still considered spawn killing by people. In one persons view, killing their team anywhere on their island was enough to bring about rage over my "spawnkilling". Even if they make players immune to damage for a few seconds on spawn, people will still rage that you are spawnkilling. Take home message: If you are in one of antpearl's traps or are being spawnkilled you have already lost the game. Just look at it as though your bed is broken and you're all dead. You should just quit, save yourself some rage, and join a new game. That's what I do (yes, even "spawnkillers" get "spawnkilled"...this is bedwars people)
if you dont want to get spawnkilled and someone trapped you, just go to Title Page, very simple in my opinion
How have I not seen this yet.. I totally disagree with spawnkilling, unless it's necessary. But in most cases it's usually not *cough Ant_Pearl* I mean spawnkilling hackers and such, sure.. And even spawnkilling people who's bed is unbreakable! I can see that. But some people do it for fun, to make others rage. It makes people want to quit the game and never come back. It makes everyone hate you, not want to play with you.. But what is the point of this besides farming kills & rubies.. I don't see it. For real.
But what if your bed breaks first. You cannot die or you lose. If you jump onto an island of 5 or 6 people even if they are all naked you WILL die unless you spawnkill long enough to get the bed. There is no other way to win (in my opinion ofc). If I'm on the other side of it...i expect the other team to try to spawnkill me.
I try to avoid spawnkilling, I just tank myself up and go straight for the bed itself, try to avoid the players until I break the bed.
But you and I both know that if the players are geared...that is a suicide mission even if you do get the bed. If your bed is already broke...it's game over.
You've seen me play, I get "lucky" and get the bed and sometimes kill the team entirely. So it is possible.
