Hello, basically I want to know what YOU class as post farming so if you could give me a quick definition as to what you think post farming is and how you would define it.
The reason why I got banned on forums last time. *See Reborn's report, you'll know what's considered post farming* *coughcough* *embarrassed*
I was banned yes but I want to know what YOU class as post farming, there is no definition of it in the rules.
I guess it's just posting too quickly (generally short posts, fast posts, etc.) You can see in the "reecnt posts, who's last posted, and you can see who's bumping threads so quickly.)
To me it is just saying support/no support on threads without a reason, and doing it very quickly on multiple threads. There's also spamming the help section, even if multiple people have offered help to the person asking for help.
So basically like andrew said, posting very quickly or replying without adding anything else to the converstation?
I think very short posts and maybe 5 posts in 2 minutes could be considered post farming. If you go to somebody's mod app and say this: Support (word) and do it to 2 other people, I guess it could be considered post farming also
Writing the same generic response on a bunch of threads in a short amount of time, barely giving input.
@Alex So if someone just comments on 10 mod apps saying no support, reasons stated above is that considered post farming?
Yes Just say I posted lengthy paragraphs on multiple threads although they were every minute or less would that be classed as post farming in your opinion
Okay, thanks. So if you give like a list of reasons (different and related to each application/applicant then it isn't post farming right?)
Well, not really. If you're giving input then I don't see the problem. It's just when people spam 1-2 word responses that it becomes a little on the post farming side, if that makes sense? Also, adding on to what I said before, post farming is very obvious when people start to find threads that were made, say a year ago, and then bump them all to the surface with a 'no support' or 'support'. I'm not saying this from a Moderator point of view but more of a personal point of view, by the way.
Writing on people's wall doesn't get you posts so is this really POST FARMING? Example: support support support no support neutral. What if someone posted small paragraphs but they were still in quick succession? I'm getting that for you content seems to be the key feature, what about if someone posted a larger post like a small paragraph but it was still really fast? Also the thing about 30 posts per minute is impossible because of the 10 second message wait time, it might be 15 I'm not sure Oh Yeh, no I didn't want mod opinion's I wanted personal opinions so thank you, Yeh I think I get you, if someone copied and pasted the same message onto multiple threads all be it that the post was still valid and made sense e.g. if there were a couple suggestions about the same thing, in your personal opinion would it be ok or not to post exactly the same response?
