That was only part of the reason. The main reason is because Collin wanted to just move on from Minecraft all together.
Minetime was not formally shut down. The owner chose to close it for many reasons other than the EULA. Sure, that was one of the reasons but after all, it can be solved and will. Ideas have already been made to bypass the system.
It's full of ddosers, hackers in and out of the game, doxers and toxicity. At least if you make a thread don't lie about the server...
1. I'm from Minetime, and that is not true. I've been on the server and I've met my fair share of ddosers and doxers, and been booted offline, but there's ALWAYS a bigger shark lurking............. 2. Hacking presented new ways of PvP and more fun styles of gameplay that normal PvP can't offer. 3. The toxicity level was very low the last time I logged into Minetime, and that was 6 months ago where I was one of the highest prison players there
