Swearing. A common thing. It's part of the English language. Why do we say it. Yeah why? Coming from my perspective I think we should minimise the disrespect in Mineverse. Even saying thinks like 'shut up' or 'go away' are common. Not saying who but a mod has recently said something bad. Not telling you who it is or why he said, I'm not going to ban him, he didn't mean, it was by accident. As part of the community of Mineverse I'm use to it. Common swear words I've heard of it. Even though it is casual words nowadays we should use these words as it will not make you better, but instead harm your reputation and hurt other people's feeling. I have no wish to report the mod as he is very kind and respect but telling you guys WE as a community need to minimise disrespect ingame or maybe in the forums even just msg a person so no one can hear the conversation.
I agree with you. The disrespect between players and the community as a whole needs to stop. This should be a positive, friendly environment.
Its not a mineverse thing, the whole swearing thing is all over the internet. You can't stop it really...
You can't really stop something like this, the moderators are not even active amongst most of the game modes, they would not be able to moderate chat.
Well, the generation of today thinks that cursing and just disrespect in general is cool. I've walked by kids younger than me dropping f bombs and saying that he/she have already had sex. It's just what they/we (whatever age group) think is cool. Of course, some people don't. One person can try to make a difference, just gain support c= Just work on little things and build up. Kind of like stairs.
Excuse me? "The generation", you cannot judge an entire generation because a few people cursing. Hell, you can't judge them all even if most of them are cursing. I don't curse or use bad language at all and I'm sure many others don't either.
If you read my post, I go on to say even if most people are using bad language it does not mean an entire generation is.
Lol what you just said makes no sense. If it's 99.9% then it cannot be the "entire" whole as 99.9% is out of 100% therefore being 0.1% away from the entire whole.
Firstly there wasn't even a question. Secondly, if there is a prison full of murderess and rapists then the prison is full of bad people you'd just ignore the guards as being there.
That's when you're counting the prisoners, if the question is posed : Is everyone in prison guilty/a bad person? Then no, logically they aren't as you have to take into account the guards and errors.
It's a generalization. A generalization is defined as a broad statement or an idea that applies to a group of people or things. Oftentimes, generalizations are not entirely true, because there may be examples of individuals or situations wherein the generalization does not apply.
Listen to me, the entire young generation does not use bad language, we are not all bad. If I'm the only one in the whole generation who does not use bad language, than it is incorrect to say that my entire generation uses bad language.
swearing is simply a habit; the more you do it the more you will do it and the harder it is to stop. it doesn't seem at all necessary to me. why not use your vocabulary and voice to raise other people up instead of putting them down?
I'm not telling mods to stop swearing I'm just telling people within the community to stop for better of us.Just because others disrespect we shouldn't learn from them and imitate them.
