Introduction: Hello! Most people know me as RandomNinja14, or Random, or Ninja, depending on who you are and what you decided to call me. Becoming a mod has been a goal of mine for a while, and I have let a few people know and they have encouraged me to apply. I have always seen mods helping people and I wanted to be able to contribute to Mineverse and help make it a better place for everyone playing. I understand that this server is not lacking mods from the USA, but I will do my best to try to convince y'all that I am worthy of joining the staff team. When I was first introduced to Mineverse, I was obsessed with Sky Wars. Then one night, I was introduced to Infection and became obsessed with that. Since then, I have started to diversify myself, and can be found playing on Infection, Factions, Survival, OP Prison, and lately I have been getting more into Kit PvP. Your in-game name: RandomNinja14 This is the only in-game name I have ever had, and I do not plan on changing it. What timezone are you in? Central Time Zone What country do you live in? United States What languages do you speak? I can only speak English fluently. I can speak a tiny bit of Spanish though, since I took it for three years (I am not fluent though, so don't expect fluent Spanish...). Do you have 2FA enabled? True Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc) I can take screenshots and I have bandicam. I use Imgur to upload any screenshots and my YouTube account to upload any videos needed to report someone. If needed I can download an editing software. Why do you think you should become a mod? Honest/Trustworthy I was raised to value honesty and being honest is something that is very important to me. This also means I value being viewed as trustworthy. When I make a promise, or give someone my word I will do everything in my power to stick to my word and not break any promises. Respectful Having respect is another thing I was raised to value. I try to be as respectful as I can, even when that respect is not reciprocated. No matter what happens, I work the hardest I can to maintain a respectful tone about my words. Helpful When someone needs help, I try to be as helpful and respond as quickly as I can. If I am unable to give sufficient enough help, I will look more into the issue and find a better solution. Mature Due to life experiences, I have grown up and become more mature than most people my age. I am seen as the mature one in my group of friends at school and try to be as mature as I can in every situation that I face. Quick Thinking When a situation presents itself, good or bad, I try to respond to it as quickly as I can. I think of way to deal with the situation in the best manner possible. Empathetic/Sympathetic Since I have had a variety of life experiences, my personality has been shaped to be empathetic. When someone is going through something I try to listen and offer any help or assistance I may be. I can also be sympathetic because I have been through many life experiences. Rational When presented with a situation, I try to be as rational as I can. I put my emotions aside, and make the best decision I can. If someone is doing something they are not supposed to be doing, I will give them the proper punishment regardless of who they are. Friendly I am a friendly person. I try to be as nice to everyone as I can, and when I make a mistake or upset someone I try my hardest to correct my mistakes. When someone is new to something I try to be as kind and friendly as possible and help them in any way and just become a friend. Patient Patience is another characteristic that I have that I believe qualifies me for this position. Patience is something that all moderators must have. When multiple people are trying to get my attention at once I try to help them and be as patient with them as I can. When someone does not understand something after I have explained it multiple times I try to rephrase my explanation and be as patient with them as I can. Works Well With Children I am very good at working with kids, and since children play on this I believe that this will help. I volunteer at the local church watching the children every Wednesday, so I have experience with working with children. Ambitious I am very ambitious and create goals and work for those goals no matter what. When I first started playing this server, I saw moderators being helpful and decided I wanted to do that one day. I have been working for those goals and am very ambitious. Forgiving Forgiveness is something I value. When someone does something that upsets me, I try to be as forgiving and understanding as I can. I don’t keep grudges, and when something happens I forgive people. Fast Learner When faced with a task that I do not know how to perform, I learn quickly. Learning is something I have always enjoyed, and something that I am good at. I pick things up quickly. How long can you be active on the server everyday? Although I am from the United States, I am most active when there are normally very little to no mods. So even though I live in the US, I will mostly be active at times when most of the US mods are not active. In-game: Sunday: At least 6 hours (not sure time times during the day, mostly in the afternoon and at night) Monday: About 4 hours (5:00 pm – 9:00 pm) Tuesday: About 7 hours (7:20 am – 10:00 am and 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm) Wednesday: About 4 hours (11:20 am – 12:40 pm and 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm and 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm) Thursday: About 7 hours (7:2o am – 10:00 am and 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm) Friday: About 7 hours (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm) Saturday: At least 6 hours (not sure time times during the day, mostly in the afternoon and at night) Forums: Sunday: At least 7 hours, since I am home during the day on Sunday’s so I can be on forums. Monday: About 5 hours, since I am on it at home and sometimes throughout the day at school. Tuesday: At least 7 hours Wednesday: At least 4 hours Thursday: At least 7 hours Friday: At least 7 hours Saturday: At least 7 hours, since I am home during the day on Saturday's so I can be on forums. These may change as summer comes and I will have more time to be free, or my classes my change next semester, but I will still be active the same amount, if not more. These times are based around my current schedule, but since summer is coming I am more likely to be free more, but when school starts I should go back to around the same amount of times, just at different times. How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been on Mineverse since November of 2015. Although it hasn’t been long, I have fallen in love with Mineverse and the wonderful people of this community. I recently found out about forums in February, and this has allowed me to make even more friends. Even though I have not been here as long as other players, I feel as if I have become immersed in the community and have met many people along the way. Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game) I have been muted once for saying I was suicidal in the lobby, and a glitch ended up with an accidental permanent ban, but it was quickly fixed. Other than that, I have not be banned or gotten in any other trouble. I have never been forums banned or gotten in any other trouble on forums. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? No, unfortunately I have not been a moderator on any other server so I do not have an experience. I would love for Mineverse to be my first server as staff on though. This is the first server that I have wanted to become a part of the wonderful community, and I would love to be able to contribute to this server. I do not think that my lack of past experience should interfere in my chances of becoming a mod, as I would do anything necessary to learn to be the best mod I could be and to help make this server the best it can be. Wow what a nice and well thought out post! Well, I came here to show support. I know this lady well, shes my head admin in my faction. So yea I do have a bias, but I hope what I say will help her cause. I never trust many people to hold high ranks in my faction, do to obvious traitoring going on. But Ive known her enough time to know that shes dedicated to the server, shes on Factions helping more than any staff ive ever seen... shes on at least 3 times a week, for many hours. She seems to take directions overall well... I say overall because sometimes ill tell her to do something, and she may end up doing something else that seems more helpful to others... which I admire. Shes able to record hackers and has helped ban some, and Ive seen her go out of her way to help random people in chat. Shes very open, and professional, and generally soft tempered... so Im sure she can handle the stress. Overall I like her and wish she can become staff...Mineverse needs it bad with the overwhelming amount of hackers and rule breakers on it.
