Support someone tried to get into my minecraft account last night night but i was so lucky i knew a counter code to shut them off my computer.
Support, It's not needed but it can be pretty useful. You never know what can happen. More security is always good.
I would ask you to look at the growing list of recently hacked players. If a player is ratted then their in game account will be rinsed/abused Also as someone who is trying to become a mod I would just like to warn you that you will be targeted for hacks, ddos attacks etc and I know this from past experience, having your in game account hacked no longer a problem would be worth while imo.
It would just add more complexity for new players, and make it harder for new players to join and login every time. Maybe an automatic IP change logger would be better, but I do not want to enter a bloody password every time I join Mineverse just to protect some virtual items. What can you even do on someone else account? Enjoy their donor rank? Just not worth the work to add and adds much more complexly and just generally unneeded just to protect some virtual items.
I understand that items and builds may not be important to you but to the kids that play this game, they're really important. I've seen countless kids get hacked on this game get hacked and they've been absolutely devastated. I remember when I was 13, playing on Factions everyday. I'd come home from school and get straight on my laptop, when I got hacked my experience was ruined. If there was a plug-in like this moderators wouldn't have to be demoted if they get hacked, so many moderators have been demoted because of people who think they're tough on the internet. I may sound like one of the nerdiest kids right now but everything I've said is true. The plug-in is optional, you don't have to enable it when you log in.
It's very obvious you didn't take a look at the plugin then, it is requested once per day and it is an optional thing, you do not have to enable it but you can if you want to. Your suggestion wouldn't work, I use a vpn, almoSt all of the mods use vpns lots of the players use vpns, their IP addresses change more or less every day. 2fa in game is optional and before commenting saying it would confuse players etc I would suggest actually reading up on the plugin instead of coming in all guns blazing commenting on how it would be a bad idea. You have obviously never been hacked either but as I said earlier if you get mod you will have a target on your back. Also try not to get so worked up about it 'bloody password' is unnecessary.
Support, just make it optional. (I did get hacked once on another server but that was ages, AGES ago)
