Yup, just like splash potions and fall damage.

TBH I like it better that way because you can jump and use epearls without dying. Still splash potions shouldn't be included at all.

Well you ran into the one person who is xD. the project started in 2012, though work only really started mid 2015, we are about 40% complete.
