This is a dumb idea and mojang will only lose players because its pay2win and people that own mild servers are making a living off owning a server and mojang wants them to agree to the eula which means they lost money so the mild servers will die out while only really big servers will survive.

 

Not really. All servers are going to die out. I don't think people will pay monthly or even weekly to play a single server. They are making it like xbox and ps. You buy the console(Pc). You buy the game (minecraft) You buy the xbox gold or ps plus(Donations) except you have to pay to go on every sever. You pay to come on here then you also have to pay if you want to play on the archon for example.

Im pretty sure its not Microsoft's idea because they are just pretty much funding mojang and if we get the attention from Microsoft we can stop this.

 

I really don't think Microsoft would do anything to hinder our minecraft experience.

 

Their 2 billion dollar investment would just simply ruin itself if this becomes a thing. Pay to win is what people want, clearly. People thrive on being better than others and have better things. Pay to win is the future of gaming.
