Mojang... Recently it was announced that Mojang will be blacklisting servers that have not been complying with the EULA within the next update. What weren't they complying with? The rule of 'pay-to-win'. Basically, when people donate to servers. Why is it that they can't deal with this? Ignorant parents who let their kids do whatever they want and think that the donation (categorised simply as 'buying perks' in their heads) counts for the whole game, then they get a problem with it and decide to contact Mojang, which is pretty ignorant of them, for both the kids and the parents. Moving on to blaming Mojang: Basically, they are being pretty indolent. Blacklisting servers because have been donating to them makes no sense. Aside from the fact that without donations servers won't have money to be able to afford the host, how will the owners, who were supposed to make a profit out of this, get any beneficial results? Any satisfaction? Conclusion: This will ruin everything. Including, YouTube channels, major server networks that people love to play on, the community, and US. It's already ruined how the players' play the game itself. Now, server owners whose servers have been confirmed to be blacklisted have already confirmed that they won't be complying to the EULA, and that they will stick with 1.9.2 and under for their servers, as they won't be able to be blacklisted unless they update to 1.9.3+. I believe that that is an action of despair, but you can't blame them, no one can. This is so unfair.
Mineverse is on the list unfortunatly :disrelieved::sob: https://www.spigotmc.org/threads/collective-response-to-mojang-blacklists.144023/
That list isn't the blacklist list, that's a list for servers which are against the EULA. Why is that a bad thing? Also, forgot to mention that massive servers like Hypixel and Mineplex won't be affected as there are no Pay2Win options on the server, they're basically purely mini-games.
Sorry, but the child shouldn't have access to the credit card in the first place. Not without supervision.
In replies "40% are on the blacklist" (which is only a personal "feeling" not a confirmed fact). And note it says "collectively signed" before the list.
AHA finally MV will have some enforcement, it's so boring, pay2win stuff 2, look at op pvp, opfactions, factions, kitpvp kits LOLLLL
Any donator who has already donated for their rank will keep their ranks, kits and commands. It's only for future people who decide to donate, they won't be able to get the kits and commands if the server does comply with the EULA.
I knowwww, mv is pay2win as it is, this is actually a good thing, it's why I said this. You're a nub.
It would be pretty stupid to say Microsoft is responsible because they did buy Minecraft, but I have a feeling they have something to do with it somehow. Mojang before has never cracked down on Pay2Win servers until now, when Microsoft bought Minecraft a few months ago. It's probably just a coincidence though, we can't bet on anything ;)
They want all server to be "pay to play" with means you have to donate to be whitelisted to the server.
