My Introduction​

Hello dear Mineverse community, I am Arabic_Bear (or Walid, if you prefer my real name) and today, I wanted to thank you for reading my moderator application and be sure to give me any feedbacks. I finally decided to apply for moderator here because I got influenced by a lot of people to do it and because, as everyone, want to make THIS SERVER GREAT AGAIN! (I know it’s already good, no hate please) After playing and playing, I realized that I loved playing on Mineverse with everyone and that I could maybe help them more than I am already doing.

I am currently 15 but I am turning 16 in September. I was born the 26 September 2000 (just if you wanted to know).

My name is Arabic_Bear but you can call me Bear or Arab (or Walid if you prefer).


What time zone are you in?

I am in the EDT time zone, aka Montreal.


What country do you live in?


I live in Canada but I was born in Algeria. If you don’t know where Algeria is, here it is. After maybe a year or two, my parents decided to leave Algeria to come to Canada, which I think you already know where it is.



What languages do you speak?


I speak fluent French, English, some Arabic (don’t expect much) and a little Spanish. I am trying to learn other languages but it's not easy.

Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (I.e. recording software, screenshots, etc.)


Yes, I do indeed, I use Bandicam for recording, which doesn’t make FPS drop and gives a good video quality, and gyazo and/or Minecraft screenshots for screenshots, which is pretty useful and fast to use. Why do you think you should become a mod?


I would like to become a moderator in this beautiful community and server because the first time I came, when there was the bow spam hackers, I thought it was just another server who was being hosted by some people who don’t care about it, but then I realized it was more than that. After some days, I got welcomed by pretty much everyone and I felt what Mineverse really was. So I decided to help the community because of the countless amount of hackers, scammers, and more people who destroys the fun of playing on Mineverse. My main reason for being a moderator is to help the community and make it great again!


Some of my traits


Maturity


I am mature when it really matters, but, like everyone, I am not mature all the time. When I am with friends or other people I feel comfortable with, I can let myself talk and don’t think that it will offense them, but if I am with other people, like younger kids or just younger teens, I choose every word to not offense them or to make them learn words they shouldn’t know.


Honesty


It is pretty common to see people lying so they don’t get caught or just for fun, but I never really lie. I tell the truth to everyone that needs it. (Maybe not personal information) Lying isn’t a good way of resolving things, so I am trying to make younger people learn how to stop lying and tell the truth to someone that they lied to.


Helpful


Whenever someone needs my help, I help them as much as I can, as a good moderator should do. I try my best to come and help people in need, but when I don’t know how to help, I ask other people, other moderators to find the issue and finally solve the problem. I think being helpful is one of the most important thing a moderator should be.


Calm


I am one of the calmest people and my friends are surprised when I tell them I never really rage or anything like that. I don’t curse or scream at other players (I mean by using caps) and I always try to solve a problem by making the other one calm enough to talk correctly. A moderator need to be calm so you don’t get mad and rage at someone when you need to be an example for him/her.


Respectful


I am very respectful for a normal person. I always talk to others in a respectful way and I will never insult them because it will make them think that Mineverse is a trash community (some people still thinks that) and that the moderators aren’t well chosen for the job.


Friendly


I am very friendly when it comes either in-game or in real life. I make friends pretty quickly and I never make them mad neither betray them. By being friendly, I am trustworthy too, anyone can count on me and I will never, by trying my best, fail them.



How long can you be active on the server every day?

Monday: 2-3 hours (maybe more)

Tuesday: 2-4 hours

Wednesday: 2-4 hours

Thursday: 3-5 hours

Friday: 5-8 hours

Saturday: All day (I can have no life sometimes)

Sunday: 6-8 hours


I am currently doing some mad exams so I am going to be way more active after I finish them. I can play all the summer, no school!


How long have you been playing Mineverse?


I can’t exactly tell how long I have been playing but I can clearly say that it was when the bow spam hackers were still here and when the server was still having like 100 players a day. Even if I came on forums not so long ago, I am trying to do my best to become more active on there and to get known by the community by helping them.



Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game)


Yes, and I am not proud of myself. I got banned 3 times, here are the details.

1st. Advertisement: I was banned by Nanurz on sky block because I advertised a friend’s server but I did not read the rules at that time so that happened. After I appealed, Nanurz was really kind, he listened to me, he understood me and he unbanned me. I think it was during august, 2015.

2nd. Hacking: I know, it’s pretty common to see people say that, but it wasn’t me. One of my close friends needed a Minecraft account for something so I gave him mine for one or two days. After those days, I realized that he did some irredeemable things, hacking. After being banned, I appealed, normal, and Maxninja was here to listen to me and he trusted me. (Thanks, dude <3 you much)

3rd. Hacking (again?!): Well, this time, it was my fault, I was going on vacation and I wanted to see what hacks were (I don’t know why, sorry), I tried them and then someone recorded and got me banned. At least I learned my lesson. It happened during January 2016, but I don't remember the exact day.

I am sorry for those bans, I never wanted to hurt or make anyone feel bad or anything else. I hope all of you can understand and will surely forgive the mistakes I made.



Do you have any past experience as a moderator?


Sadly, I do not have any past experience in being a moderator in any type of servers, but I have some knowledge about the commands I am able to use without abuse.​

Did you copy my old application, I made this mistake as well. I looked at my app and all the experienced commands like I put them are in the same order in your app, if you're copying please don't!

 

Did I? Well, sorry for that little mistake there, didn't mean to offense or to copy.

 

I know, I'm not saying you did. It just looked suspicious to me since when I made my app I typed /kick (user) (amount of time) when you don't kick someone for an amount of time, haha! :P
